Good stuff. A reminder to all: faster air means blow through a smaller hole, not blow harder. Decrease the size of the air channel in your lips.

way to make the higher register look and sound effortless. I'm so glad that you said you need to blow faster air and move the air forward. too many people say stuff like tighten up your embouchure. Singing is total important...you're hit the nail right on the head. Great channel bro! I saw it on Nimmin's live stream this morning!

How To Build Credit TV thanks man! It’s takes tons of work to make it sound sound and look effortless! 😂 but once I got the technique down, playing higher gets easier. Definitely, faster air, thinking farther and singing are very important. Thanks for checking me out and watching 😄👍🏾 have you played trumpet before or an instrument in band?

Great lesson Aaron. Most teachers never show their vulnerability. You are already a great teacher. I've been chipping away at this thing that we love,but doesn't always love us back lol since 1968. And still making discoveries. Good job.

Hey Mr. Washington. This exercise really exposed me to how much I was "cheating" in the upper range. Thank you for all of the words of wisdom. I appreciate it. For triple tonguing I find du gu du du gu du much easier than du du gu du du gu. It's a similar pattern but more comfortable. Maybe it might help

I'm a comeback player I hadn't played since I was 5th Grade! 52yrs later, I was handed the churches trumpet and asked to play it. When I was a kid it was easy and no anxiety. I'm left handed and my left hand is stronger than my right hand. I need a left handed trumpet with lead pipe on left side? try playing with your strong hand and see how well you play? this is for anyone. I held trumpet with right hand and I could play cleaner with no strain. It's very heard to much pressure.

@TheBlackTrumpeter

Cleveland Brown ee helps with playing the note. In order to have an open/bigger sound that’s not pinched or small your oral cavity will have to be open. So make sure your teeth stay open and not clinched down.

Sipho Gift what do you mean?
@brianlassiter3011
@brianlassiter3011 6 жыл бұрын
Sipho Gift , just set your embouchure for g at the top of the staff. It's pretty easy to learn to relax from there, and the high g is,only an octave away. Clark technical studies at pppp will help a lot. Start slow and slam the fingers firmly - speed up as possible.
@siphogift5796
@siphogift5796 5 жыл бұрын
Note g for instance on top of the staff it's hard for me to get the,I think maybe the mouthpiece size is not ok for my lips, I use 7c by the way, ever since I had the Horn.that's the mouthpiece size I use.
@TheBlackTrumpeter
@TheBlackTrumpeter 5 жыл бұрын
Sipho Gift does the mp not feel comfortable on your lips? Are you able to get all of your lips inside the cup? If not I play on a 3C. It works for me but I’ve heard that 1.5 C works for others with fuller lips...if I’m not mistaken. Maybe go to a shop where they can let you try different mouthpieces out so you can feel what’s best for you. Don’t forget to take your trumpet teacher or trumpet friend with you so they can give you a second opinion.

I’m in high school band and I really need to work on my higher notes like A,Bb, and C above the staff for this years show but they’re sounding a bit sharp sometimes and flat sometimes. This is my first year playing first part so it’s a bit hard. I can play the notes they just don’t sound right sometimes.
