From my Theory, the Reason why it took so long for Rock Howard to finally make it into the KOF Canon was all thanks to the *"Tales of Ash"* Saga that involves not only Time Travel, but also cost a huge Time Paradox that effected all of the Cast in KOF to Age Backwards (Terry for Example), while some of the Cast in "Garou MOTW" to Age Forward (Rock for Example). If you may think that's sounds Dumb or a complete Headache, then that's Fine, I'm only just doing it for Fun.

Nobody aged backwards though, SNK just cannot make adult Rock cannon because of 2003. They refuse to age their characters(and still put B. Jenet and Gato in XI, fucking it all up anyway).

@@sfsreiq And yet, wasn't Rock supposed to be the exact same Age as Hotaru where she showed up in the Garou Team Ending in KOF XI? That was all just made up by the Fans, Aging does Exist in the KOF series my Guy, Terry's Garou Outfit use to be his Default in both 2003 and XI, while despite that it was just a Recycled Sprite from Garou MOTW, but it's clear that he is actually Aging in the KOF Timeline until the Time Paradox happened in XIII. Edit: Even if you look at Robert Garcia's recent Design in KOF XIV and XV, he went from *Steven Seagal* in the 2-D Era but transformed into *Johnny Depp* in the 3-D Era, but it's pretty much clear he is the only (and Ironically the only AOF-) Character that's actually Aging.

Jose Urbina's theory might actually be correct by the way. SNK Heroines is canonical to the KoF universe and Rock appeared as a 16-17 year old in it - that being his age in Garou (his playable form). So Rock's appearance in KoF XV might actually be canonical for a change.

Since that Rock Howard is now fully grown up in the KOF Timeline, I wonder if it's also the same Case for *Jae Hoon* and *Dong Hwan* (Kim's 2 Jobber Sons in "Garou MOTW") as well, I guess maybe Time will tell eventually (or Not).

I'm surprised there was no mention of Naoto Kurogane from Blazblue. Ragna and Jin even ripped off Rock's best win pose. It goes to show how influential SNK fighting games really are.

Good info. My only problem with the video was the pronunciation of Garou. It's actually pronounced with an long o sound, not a u or oo sound.

Rock is Kaworu. Snk were big Evangelion and Gainax fans and it showed. Orochi was Kaworu 0 Kaede was Kaworu 0.5 and Rock was Kaworu 1.0
