IT is the solemn duty of us all who love this song to spread the link far and wide. Get busy.

I don’t know that The Bogmen will ever see this but I need to let you know how much this song means to me. My sister died last year. She was 43 years old. She had a hard life. She had a lot of mental health struggles. She had a lot of struggles in general. I loved her more than anything. I would have given anything to see her happy I see you have a show coming up on November 11 and I can’t help but imagine that this is something that her and I would’ve done together. We spent so many afternoons driving in the car listening to this song. When I found out that she was likely going to die, I put this song on in my car. I listen to it now and it makes me smile. I miss her. Hearing this song makes me remember the true friendship that we really had. I just thought you should know.

The first time they showed this on "120 Minutes" on MTV, I thought I'd crap my pants laughing!! Diggin' it still a quarter of a century later!!!!

I worked in radio when I heard this song and thought it was the best thing I'd heard in months. It's an amazing mix of comedy and melancholy. One's first reaction is to laugh, but there's something very touching going on under the surface.

this bands first album was soo good....start to finish...still holds up ...very musical and clever lyrics...this record reminds me of Todies first album, so full of potential and fell well short with sophmore record.

I found an old VHS tape of MTV 120 minutes the other day that I recorded back in 96. This video was on the tape and I have been listening to it repeatedly. It hits pretty close to home these days.

Campion, Bogmen, Vic Thrill, Casspix - what a bunch of geniuses. What an awesome reminisce this video is (though I never was around in time to see Bogmen live). So many Bogmen and Vic Thrill songs would be great to make videos to!

I saw them at the Middle East in Philly late in 1995. It was my band's CD release party and local alt radio (WDRE) paired us with The Bogmen. What a show. The vision of the frontman spinning around for what seemed ages during the denouement of one song (Raga?) is permanently etched in my mind. A great performance. This tune only scratches the surface of their depth of humor, musicianship and poignancy. Solid band, striking songs, and solid production. They should be remembered with Radiohead of that era, IMO.

yes they should be. this band is incredible... they should of made with he song MEXICO.. but they released a different song. atlantic came this close to signing them... billy campion... is my fucking hero... he reminds me of the me im afraid to look at sometimes.. but he fuckign goes there and spinning into oblivion.. should be his next album... lmfao

"Keep me on ice, if I melt, kiss my head. I am yours even in death now he's coming for me!" - That is my recollection of a great line from Mexico. Great song. Good overall sound. Shame this band didn't get more widespread recognition. Though, like many indie bands that don't break into commercial success, they will probably have an endless undying cred level with the few musicians and music fans lucky enough to be in the know about the Bogmen.

@DanR67 i worked for BMG Distribution, and I was THERE for this stuff. And I know Lonn as well. Lonn LOVED this band. As far as Clive goes, I don't know what he was thinking, very few people ever did :-) I loved this band. I worked my ass off to get them radio, press, retail, and tour support. They were my favorite band on Arista. But the biggest band on Arista at the time was THE ACE OF BASE....facepalm..... I wish things had been different, the Bogmen were a GREAT band, and I loved them.

Fabulous band! Check out Ryan Bros Music for 2 of the band members highly successful commercial music company. They can be heard in many popular movies, TV, Ads and documentaries ! Great guys that have moved hip music to the commercial realm without "selling out". They still do live gigs as well! They have stood the test of time and moved forward to real professionalism. Ryan Bros Music rocks!

Roccotanto, you should read Lonn M. Friend's book Life On Planet Rock. He signed The Bogmen to Arista and chronicles how Clive Davis pretty much helped bury this band with his inept and backwards attitudes towards properly marketing a hard rock band on his predominantly pop-oriented label. It is an all too common story of an out of touch record exec not knowing how to properly nurture a talented band.
