NOT ME! that's why I named my channel the boring channel. when I made the first free lawn care video no one was making these videos.... do you want to know why? because it sounds like watching paint dry...and if you are into that dad and I painted a house for free as well. that video is on his channel. Ok now that I have rambled a little, I have sorted out the real supporters. Congratulations you are one of the Rare few that make it to this point in the description. (Cough! Cough!.. you would like that newsletter)
In the first part of this project I discussed some of what was going on in this job. here are a few of the other things that I have found out about the job since last weeks video.
Sandra the twin sister of Jeff the owner of the house drove down to help her brother out and it was just a crazy coincidence that she was there when I showed up. Honestly I am leaning on divine intervention. I also found out that the house was not only being foreclosed on but the homeowner was going to get stuck with demolition fees to tear down the house once they vacate the property. to top it off the city has given them around $16,000 in code violation fines. I think that is pure insanity. with that said Sandra did mention that the fines have been accumulating for some time. I don't know how long but she did mention that the pool and the lawn have not been messed with since their parents have passed. she said the last time it was cut was somewhere around 2014. Jeff has been predominately wheel chair bound for 3 years now but I'm guessing that he was not in great health prior to having to be confined to a wheel chair. that's the curse of being a blue collar man I guess. He said that he use to do concrete and brick labor. when my wife and I got married I started working for a concrete company and I have got to give it up for those guys they are a different breed. that is some of the hardest work I have ever done in my life.
So after finding everything out about Sandra and Jeff's situation and how they were currently looking for a place for Jeff to move to. they told me they were hoping to find something that would better fit Jeff's needs. I knew that with everything going on and because he was handy cap as well as having a fixed income, They might need a little extra help. after seeing that his house was falling apart and that it wasn't safe I decided to take action. I brought some money with me to give away as needed and the lord put the right candidate in front of me so at the end of the job I surprised Sandra with $5,000 to help find Jeff a place closer to her.
Sandra and Jeff were amazing to meet and I feel very blessed to have not only met them but to be able to help them in some small way. I want you to know that there is no way that I could do any of this without your support. so thank you so much for taking the time to watch the videos. Together and by that I mean me at the job and you watching and showing support, we are able to do some amazing projects and help a lot of people.
I'm sure you know by now that all of the work i do is 100% free of charge.
