Just wanted to let you know I have bought a few products you've reccomended and my skin has been feeling much better. I had really dry, flaky, tight skin and I was starting to get some bumps that looked like clogged pores. My skin has been feeling much better and I am repairing my skin barrier. There are also resources to check like Incidecoder or CosDNA who you can enter an ingredient name you aren't familiar with or type in a product name. They will breakdown the ingredient list. They aren't perfect especially with newer ingredients but they can help. Paula's Choice and Dermstore are some that have ingredient libraries as well.

Check EWG database for the safety of ingredients. The trouble with all these products is that so many contain things we shouldn't be putting on our skin even if they are allowed. Everyone has toxic overload these days.

Except in the case of EWG, Dr Dray and Lab Muffin have called them out for being questionable as well (Dr Dray calls them the everything wrong group). At least one channel called them out for taking donations from brands for favorable reviews and another blog I follow basically called them out as fearmongers and incompetent.@@jaycarver4886

Except EWG has been called out for bad information/fearmongering by derms like Dr Dray and even Lab Muffin. They've also been called out for taking payoffs to give good reviews. And at least one skincare blog I check has said they wouldn't know a legit clinical study if it walked up and bit them in the behind.

hi i have a question i am currently 17, have hyperpigmentation, a bit of dry skin as well could you tell me if this day & night routine is good or something needs to be changed DAY routine •deconstruct 10% vitamin C & ferulic acid serum •cosrx snail 96 mucin essence •Dot & key ceramides & hyaluronic skin barrier face cream •Dr sheths ceramides & vitamin c sunscreen NIGHT routine •Minimalist 2% alpha arbutin •cosrx snail 96 mucin essence •Dot & key ceramides & hyaluronic skin barrier face cream if anything is wrong with this routine could you please suggest any changes i should be implementing? i also have thyroid issues if thats compromising my skin in any way

She does have a couple videos on eczema and her sensitive skin video talks about it as well. The national eczema association has a video going over the types of eczema and treatment. 208SkinDoc did a video on types of eczema as well.

For PSA purposes-there was an article on Bloomberg Law about 3 days ago about Cerave & Panoxyl parent companies (L'Oreal & Crown Labs) being sued for over benzene in products (BPO/benzoyl peroxide). This is not being widely reported.

A number of derm channels (including this one), Lab Muffin and the ladies from Chemist Confessions (cosmetic chemists/formulators) have called out the Valisure study for inconsistencies and personal gain (they are pushing a product of their own). This is the same lab that was behind the benzene issues with sunscreens and dry shampoo.

Yes, I saw all their opinions and the long history of benzene findings. I personally am proceeding with caution and dismissing nothing. Dr Muneeb Shah of Doctorly (ig) , Dr. John Barbieri (YT) and Dr. Sugai (YT) all take a more cautious view.@@db-gb5xi
