She is so young, but Kokoreva truly deserves this promotion. She is just fabulous with that amazing technique and her versatility over a wide variety of roles. I LOVE her high, effortless jump - that Bridesmaid variation from 07:19 is stunning! She just exudes joy of dance, charisma and presence on stage. Congratulations and brava, Elizaveta!

She is the new best etoile..she really deserves this,for sevenard was too early and also I totally prefer kokoreva than kovaleva..Liza is more complete and her genius is difficulty comparable with others cause she mix top level of huge technique,from adage to allegri,she jumps/flies,and dramatic skills so genuine and interesting..thanks Liza for work so much and push yours skills at the maximum..

Love the Bolshoi style of dancing. Huge admirer of Vladimir Vasiliev, the dancer who excelled in Soviet times and after. Elizaveta is quite lovely. Thank you for this. 🇬🇧❤️

Damnn a prima?!?! How old is she?? I’m seriously shocked about how the younger generations are getting this type of promotions at the bolshoi (such as Eleonora Sevenard) but however I love to see this!! Elizaveta is definitely a one in a thousand ballerinas, she’s graceful, talented and very VERY expressive, which i personally love 💕 good 4 her! And hope she has a really successful future at the Bolshoi 🫶🏼

Wow, I`m impressed, new fan! Her Giselle is so sweet and lovely, and she`s nailing Kitri as well, really good. Love her versatility and artistry, also her strong technique of course, she has it all. Her jumps in bridesmaid variation reminded me of those of Anna Tikhomorova. Happy for her and congratulations 👏👏 also thank you for this wonderful video! 😊

In my opinion, in order to transcend into a true prima ballerina, you have to forget AND make the audience forget about your technique. Елизавета of course has clearly done all that and more. I appreciate that she has taken the time to make her jumps, extensions etc even on both sides. I was trained in Moscow too and as a young girl it was clear that I had facilities on my left side. My teachers and coaches told me I had to make my right side even better. I did (it allows me not to shy away from left turns (I can’t stand seeing ballerinas modifying choreography like Diana et Acteon or doing only a single turn to the left in Giselle’s act I variation). I loved seeing her choice to turn left in the Pharaoh’s Daughter’s variation. Брава 🇧🇷🇵🇹🇷🇺🇺🇦🇷🇴🇱🇻🩰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Plus a good prima ballerina also understands the cultural context of the works she stars in. A lot of Russian dancers dancing Kitri feels flat to me because Spanish cultural norms are tough to understand and replicate properly. There’s machismo, which is a inherent part of Spanish and Latin American cultures. Add in the history between Spain and their colonies and I’m beginning to understand why Marianela Nuñez and Cynthia Harvey excelled so well at dancing this role, they grew up in this culture. The Russian dancers could do well to study Nunez’s version of Kitri, she did made flirting look natural and not forced.

I’m half Brazilian and half Portuguese and that serves me really well when dancing roles such as Kitri, Street Dancer in DQ, Paquita soloist parts, Spanish character dances in Swan Lake and Raymonda. I also studied and worked in Eastern Europe, Ukraine 🇺🇦 and Russia 🇷🇺 which helps me with Czardas, Polonaises and the mannerisms of a ballet such as Raymonda (très hongrois !).

I think you could be a big help to aspiring Russian dancers by pointing out little things about Spanish and Latin culture that frequently get overlooked when practicing these variations.

@@elyseenger-fq8ye I do! I’m very grateful for my time in Moscow and always help. My multicultural background has given me many opportunities. I know I’ve risen faster because of my Russian training and my heritage. It was incredible to to arrive as a little girl and see all these other girls who looked just like me (I get mistaken for someone from the former Soviet countries all the time because of my Portuguese genes!). But when I move my Latina side comes through!

From what I remember, Elizabeta's ascent to prima was like going from 1st soloist (March 2022) to prima. Remarkable!

Yes, she is very special, unique, one senses her greatness, natural love of dance as a born to dance ballerina, she becomes the dance. I especially loved her in the Spartacus, hope to see more of it.

Another brilliant combination - thanks as always for sharing. It is so nice to see an engaging dancer with a traditional physique ... I was never a fan of watching the aloof, gangly dancers so revered by Bolshoi in recent years ... and what balance she has - very special. I look forward to seeing a lot more of her

Well said! And that physique hasn't always been standard. Early 20th c. clips of dancers shows that they were healthy looking. Maybe they weren't as nimble as now, but a ballet dancer shouldn't be a contortionist. This is also why I like Yulia Stepanova, btw.

I do like the fact that she can also dance some of the more neo classical and modern roles as well because a lot of the Russian dancers, let’s be honest they struggle with that choreography but she seems to be quite comfortable with it which is nice.

She is a genius IMHO ..so naturally talented and authentic actress..cant stop to watch..already the new best version, or soon will be, of differents roles like kiri ❤❤, Coppelia, aspicia, phrygia, Angela (Marco spada), chopiniana,grand pas, Giselle ❤❤, nina (the seagull), Jeanne (flames of paris),princess florine, winter tales..in big part of variations she did she was so remarkable and so especially for history of ballet, like sleeping beauty fairies, raymonda final grand pas variation, don Quixote grand pas variation, shadow in bayadere.. I'm waiting to see her Nikia, juliette❤❤, tatiana/Olga, Aurora❤❤, odette/odile, etudes❤❤...love so much this wonderful dancer

For me she s the new best etoile in bolshoi, so good in both allegro and adagio, so true in emotions she gives.. She already overcome zakharova, at the a ge of 23..
