2.30 is hilarious, such a brilliant reference to this charming man. Such a great version of this song.

Just thought I would put it out there that that cover is From the Sixties gangster film "Get Carter". That,s the star Michael Cane in I would say the far west of Newcastle Upon Tyne. In the background is the old Stella Power station. (I used to deliver the veg there once a week) Great track, film and times!!

"Get Carter" is worth seeing. I once watched an interview with Caine, who is among my favorite actors. (in fact the interview may have been an "extra" on the DVD of Get Carter I borrowed from the public library) He explained that he never received any dramatic training whatsoever. The interviewer was incredulous and asked him how he knew what to do. "I just figured it out," he answered. I always admired that.

Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself" The sanest days are mad why don't you find out for yourself then you'll see the price very closely some men here they have a special interest in your career they wanna help you to grow then syphon all your dough why don't you find out for yourself then you'll see the glass hidden in the grass you'll never believe me, so why don't you find out for yourself sick down to my heart that's just the way it goes some men here they know the full extent of your distress they kneel and pray and they say: "long may it last" why don't you find out for yourself then you'll see the glass hidden in the grass bad scenes come and go for which you must allow sick down to my heart that's just the way it goes Don't rake up my mistakes I know exactly what they are and...what do YOU do? well...you just SIT THERE I've been stabbed in the back so many many times I don't have any skin but that's just the way it goes

When Viva Hate came out, I thought he could never top it. I was wrong. When Bona Drag came out, I thought he would never top it. I was wrong. After Your Arsenal came out, I thought there is no way he could top it. I was wrong my final time when Vauxhall and I came out.

Alain has a very recognizable playing style. I was rehearsing 11 years ago in Van Nuys with my low level rockabilly style band and I heard guitar playing that only could have been his. I knocked on the door and yelled " hey! Is Alain Whyte in there?" Guess who answered the door......Alain whyte....we all met with red lightning messed around on his gold top les paul, and then he played a few Morrissey songs. He is really the coolest guy I ever met it was a real honor. He's a big influence on my guitar playing
