Hear me out, the execution for the monochrome makeup and costumes is OUTSTANDING. Not only does it fit the plot of the “darkness” infecting people, but it makes the cast so unique in a way.

This is my favorite haunt that you've visited. Most are filled with too much gore, but this one seemed to focus more on just being creepy, which is awesome and so unique these days. Great job to the creators of this place!

Carpetbagger posts are just one more reason why Halloween is my fav holiday all year.

Very good "Nightmare" haunt. I loved how everyone was in make-up and had a character from the beginning through the midway area. I also appreciated the guide actors that transition you from room to room, instead of like in most of the big park haunts that give you some person with a black t-shirt and a radio just waiving you on . That sort of calms you down for the next area of creepy fun. Your Gypsy host was awesome. Thank you Jacob.

I'm so proud you came to my town and had a blast at our awesome haunt. It's my favourite haunted house ever and that's not me being biased. We really go out of our way to make sure everyone can enjoy it! Please come back and visit us again the canal is beautiful in the summer and our Comiccoplis is a blast!

Many of the scare actors from Statesville Haunted Prison (including a certain Sharky) have been relocated here after its final season back in 2021.

Their cast is absolutely outstanding and the makeup is some of the best I have seen. Thanks as always for a great haunt video!

The amount of live actors in this haunt is crazy.

Fantastic! i think Hells Gate adds a new motto to your "no scares on stairs", being: "no hiding while sliding". A really jump scaring, beautifully composed, mansion and garden. My guess the actors had a little special preparation and lots of fun in scaring their special guest: Jacob. So many people putting so much effort and passion into this! I love the behind the scenes look of what makes a Haunted Attraction soo special. They not only get the best animatronics from around the United States, but they get the best scare actors/makeup artist/engineers/sound artists from around the globe or in the U.S. That what makes Haunt Season special from meeting new people, making lifelong friends, and being a one big happy zombie infested family. To all the people who work a haunted attraction, you make us scare our pants with fear but gives you and us an adrenaline rush. Love you scares Jake (you make me laugh 😂😂)!

HellsGate is an incredible experience, the actors are top tier. I had my hair in a top knot and kept getting bopped the entire night. It was hilarious and so much fun. Lots of love to the cast and crew!

I would love to see more of the makup artists and actors talking. definitely seemed like there was more they had to say and I'd love to hear it. wouldn't mind a really long cut of this video that includes their full thoughts

Illinois is an ideal place for Anything Halloween.I grew up making church haunts as a kid in Joliet.I live in Southern California and this place is almost void of Halloween charms.

Those dragons are awesome! Reminds me of the two possessed dragon corpses at the castle in Dark Souls 3. Also loved how the python was lighting up under the UV light! Didn't know snakes had scales like that!

Wow! That is some really well done set and costume design outside. Better than most movies I have seen. You could tell me the design and makeup folks are all taking a month break from high production hollywood level movies and I would totally believe it only questioning why the movie producers wouldnt let them have total control as again this is better than movies

When you get a minute, look up Eloise Asylum. One of the buildings of the infamous place has been turned into a haunted attraction, and they offer ghost tours as well.

Best Haunt by far that you have visited!! This was full of scares, and characters that really dove into their roles and committed to it to the very end. Excellent makeup and the entire time I watched I was thinking omg what if a place like this existed!!! That would be my worst nightmare, so scary. Also want to add that it was a lot to see and experience which makes it even more worth going to see. Simplay amazing that they let you in to film, and they gave you the VIP treatment, which lets me know how much of a professional image they have. Also what more can you ask for at the end... A GIFT SHOP OMG!!!!!!!! I love this so very much!!! Thank you for sharing this with us Carpetbagger, your awesome!

Ahhhh, you were in my backyard!! I'm so excited to see my town featured. This haunted house largely picked up the reigns from Statesville, I believe, which called it quits last year. I hope you had a great visit, you must check out Basement of the Dead in Aurora if you're still nearby.

I like the idea that the Haunted House had the same theme throughout the place It wasn't a gross-out fest.
