Absolute legend in continuing education of Emergency Medicine, an irreverent iconoclast, really smart, profanely funny, enjoyable to listen to whether you agree or disagree with him..... randomly talked to him in Vegas a few times after CME lectures, really approachable and willing to engage with me and my wife, maybe helps that I'm an ER doc also for 20 yrs....... Good lecture here too!

@@SS-xm7di thanks for sharing this. fascinating article. I am not surprised, I felt the quality of this man several times through his lectures, videos, and writings. I have not heard any updates on Billy's health for some time, only that he had suffered a devastating stroke at Stonybrook

Summary: 1) Acute uncomplicated diverticulitis may be managed w/ followup and analgesia w/o abx if it's left-sided and CT proven 2) Post-LP headache may be alleviated by immediate mobilization as opposed to bed rest, fluids likely make no difference 3) Video laryngoscopy is probably not superior to direct laryngoscopy 4)Oxygen for patients with O2 sat above 93-94% can cause more harm than good, even in the setting of suspected ACS. Decrease FiO2 as needed. Maybe keep elevated in MI/Stroke 5) ETCO2 may not reduce adverse events 6) Mifepristone is most effective, least-toxic emergency contraceptive. Levonorgestrel is also good and available OTC

Looks like doctors don't upgrade up to date their knowledge but right after work play too much tennis, OK but medical knowledge grows up every hour every day & real docs keep up with the knowledge after some daily exercise .
