Diana interpreted this song in a new way. She is the Goddess of Nature in this song ... she says to a human: if you love me, why is the whole world on fire... a true wicked game. Brillian performer. Diana was born May 31, 2003 and singing from 5 years old. In this performance she was only 15 y.o.

@@atlearneolsen2483 I agree with you on "Deniere Danse"! The song is about someone who has lost their lover, who pleading for one last dance and is lost and distraught without that closure. I think it is magical how Diana expresses the emotion in this piece of music!!!

This is TV Show "You are Super", a musical competition for children from an orphanage (without parents or adopted). Diana won 2nd season in 2018 and won 3rd superseason in 2019 (Grand-Prix as best performer of all seasons). She song 7 songs on this show: 2 season at 14 years old - Derniere Danse [fr], It's a man's world [eng], Rechenka [ru], Tomorrow is a lie [eng]; 3 superseason at 15 years old - Snowstorm [ru], Wicked Game [eng], Human [eng].

Hi, thanks for Diana 🙂 Next one must be "Rechenka" ("Little River"). It is the most hypnotizing song. Folk russian song about girl orphan which is crying and feeling sadness on the river's bank about nobody can bless her marriage. The River is the board between live people world and would of dead. The River is talking with the girl insted her mother. It is absolutely mesmerizing performance. Diana (Deana sounds more correctly 🙂) is our growing little star with great talent. We' re waiting your reactions because your analysis is so kind and professional. 👍🎼🙂

Her life story is shattering witch makes her even more superb. She was born may 31st 2003 in far eastern Russia. Father is basically unknown figure. Her biological mother is a troubled creature who had 8 or 12(different info on that) kids and Diana is the only survivor. Diana was abused by her mother and others, for the first three years of her life, than after was dumped at the orphanage. Her "new mother" Irina Ponik was working as a massage therapist at that orphanage and decided to adopt her. At the time of adoption Diana wasn't even speaking. Irina found local vocal school, so they would help Diana learn to speak. Sometime after, teachers noticed her voice and she started to study vocals. Little by little she started to sing at different kids parties, gatherings and things like that. In 2012 family moved to western/central region of Russia city of Tolyatti. In Tolyatti Diana continued her vocal studies at the vocal studio "Melody". In 2016 her mentor Svetlana Vovk and her mother decided to try Diana on Russia "Voice" where she got through preliminary contests and in 2017 got on stage for blind audition of Russia "Voice" with song «Jodel Time» witch in my opinion she nailed it! Unfortunately, my opinion is different from idiotic judges and they did not turn around. She was eliminated from "Voice". In February of 2018 started 2nd season of "You're awesome!" on Russia's NTV tv-channel where Diana performed " Indila's song «Derniere danse». This time all of the judges unanimously picked her.... Everything is going well now and we can enjoy her magnificent voice and tremendous talent.

To add few interesting facts: After all she went trough, one of the judges at the "You're awesome" offered her and her mother a housing in Moscow, so they would stay there and he is promoting her now. The judge is Igor Yakovlevich Krutoy, very famous Russian music composer, performer, producer and musical promoter. All of the costumes/dress made by her mother Irina Ponik out of scratch due to luck of founds. So all of the costumes are actually individualy made for Diana.

She did a song on Russia's voice kids where she does yodel. Unfortunately the fix was in for a certain singer and none of the judges dared turn for the best singer . The show you just saw her on is for abused and abandoned children in Russia.

Thank you so much for your time and kinds words for Diana. ( I see many comments for you to review Rechenka.) I feel its needed to have some information for this amazing world class performance before you review. As I understand, this is an old Russian ritual song about an orphaned bride. The river was considered the boundary between the world of the living and the dead. The figures behind Diana are spirits of water and forest. She goes to the river and asks for the blessing of marriage. You hear Diana singing in a whisper, these are the words of the deceased mother of the bride. She says, there are many people at home, but there is no father and mother. Then the girl is crying (This is the yodel repeated 4 times.) I believe this interpretation doesn't end well for the Bride. In Russia, weddings sang sad songs to scare away evil and the marriage of a young couple is to be happy. Such songs were called “weeping.” On a side note, Diana was orphaned at a very young age and had a difficult beginning. Its not my story to tell. If you wish, you can research more into her early life. Also, Diana is a master class on vocal techniques at only 14 years old for this performance! So connected! Bravo! Thanks Again.

Judges' speech after this performance: Igor Krutoy (composer, producer for Lara Fabian, Dimash and many other): You changed the content of this song. When you sing, it makes no sense to discuss notes, we should discuss about the world that you created. Diana Arbenina (rock-singer, poet, composer): You are the Gift from God for all us. I don’t understand where the sounds you make are creat. It's unreal. It's Earthy. Victor Drobysh (composer, producer): You don’t realize that God gave you Voice. And you just learn to use it. You are our National Treasure. We must protect you. When you singing low I am knock out. Yolka (pop-singer): I am happy that I am present at the appearance of a person of a historical scale. You can bring light, goodness and love to this world. Please do not turn to the side of evil.

In this video she is 14 years old, like Dimash she has been having voice coaching from age 5. She is incredible, and has great presence even at such a young age, and yes a very rare and gorgeous contralto voice but able to go up into her higher register. She does have a special tone to her voice and I think she is a wonderful emerging star 💖

One of the reasons she has such control is, due to a very sad, hard early childhood, she had a great deal of trouble talking, stuttering, silence ect. So a worker suggested to her foster parents, to try singing lessons. I believe she started just before her 5 th birthday, and never stopped really. I hope from the bottom of my heart she gets everything she so richly deserves!

She is stunning. Thank you for checking her out. Her voice is incredibly unique. Try Rechenka ('Rеченька) (Age 14 yo)', it is ancient and haunting. My understanding is that she was very late to speaking and had a very troubled early life and this voice is the result! Thank you for your reaction and your informed analysis. She is still very young.

Diana brought me to you and I liked your reaction so I subscribed. I have been following Diana for some time and even when she sings in Russian you feel the emotion, even if you don't understand the words. It will be fun watching your journey through this young lady's world. I would also like to bring your attention to another young artist you won't be disappointed in. This young lady has vocal control well beyond her years. I am speaking of Angelina Jordan - "The Barefoot Singer With The Velvet Voice And A Mona Lisa Smile". She makes every song her own (she has done her own arrangements since she was 6 yo). She is so hypnotic you forget where your at. Start with "Bohemian Rhapsody" you'll see what I mean.

Diana has a "black belt" in vocals! This is a vocal contest of the Russian NTV channel for children with a difficult fate. The competition is called "You are super!". Diana won it at age 14. This year, the channel announced the Super Season of the contest, she participated in it for the second time and won the Grand Prix. The button can only be pressed while a song is playing. In Russia there is a competition "Voice". And "Voice. Children." And even "Voice. 60+" - for the elderly. These contests go on the air of the First Federal TV Channel. There is a contest "New Star" on the channel "Star". There is a contest "Come on, all together" on the TV channel "Russia". We have many contests for talented people. And there are many talented people too.

Diana has a background in yodeling too. There are videos of her as a young kid yodeling on singing competitions. There are hints of her dark tones even as a young child. She's so versatile. Many of us Dimash Dears are also fans of Diana. They're both so mesmerizing and unique.

To your comment about yodeling, I don't know whether she started out Yodeling, but she did yodel (amazingly well, I might add) a lot when younger. Great reaction. I would highly recommend "Yodel Time" (for a display of her yodeling abilities), "Rechenka" (seconding that one, absolutely haunting), "Derniere Dance" (great vocal technique, but also displays what a stage monster she is), and "Human" (her voice sounds the most "odd" in this one). She also does a great version of "Feeling Good" which is more pop/rock than the Angelina Jordan version or original, the version without her playing piano is the better one in my opinion. Her rendition of "It's a Mans World" is also great. Even if you don't do reactions to them you might want to give them a listen. She has a really interesting voice which under the right circumstances is hauntingly beautiful.

One of the things that I personally look for is a voice that stands out. Tons of people can imitate something, but to be something original and truly charismatic - I think that is very difficult to find, and maintain. Diana is this, and more.

I really liked your sincere reaction and professional analysis of Diana's amazing performance. She is a unique singer and a beautiful girl! Diana had a difficult childhood. Her birth mother treated her badly and tried to get rid of her. Diana went to an orphanage and didn't talk. Here she was seen by a child massage therapist and her own daughter, who asked her mother to adopt this little girl. They became her family. Diana was taken to a speech therapist at the age of 5, who advised her to take devrchka to singing lessons to remove her psychological barrier and develop her speech apparatus... Since then, Diana has been singing! And looking at her children's performances, you know that she is an amazing artist and a future star!🌟 Thank you to her foster mother for her love and great work in raising beautiful daughters! Diana has won many competitions. And twice won on the TV show You are Super, where orphans and children with a difficult fate compete. Love your reaction! Diana is so relaxed because she is on the stage from 5 years of age! ))) She's either won or been in the finals of more than 50 international and internal kids voice competitions. Her singing is as natural as breathing for her. Diana is true contralto and her chest range starts two tones lower than a regular contralto. As many of the people said in the comments - Now try Rechenka - Dear River. This is an absolute masterpiece in all ways even among all other Diana's bright performances. And that's where the word "mesmerizing" is the most appropriate! Wicked Game belongs to Superseason of this TV show (2019), where Diana won Grand Prix, while Rechenka was performed a year prior to that, when Diana was only 14 and of course won! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f5ajn8x52NCpomg.html Envy you, you just start familiarizing with Diana! And whatever you listen to from Diana, just be aware that there is not any digital processing on her voice, it's just a lot of extra resonances and overtones. ))

If you watch "Rechenka" you will hear much more of the yodeling abilities, its very haunting she was 14 when she did Rechenka,, Next, "Derniere Dance" There are two versions, I like the one where she was 13, It's unbelievable that kind of amazing vocal actually came out of that little girl, and Next has to be "Human", she's 16, if you want to hear what she can really do with that crazy amazing deep tone she has..

I recommend listening to Diana perform the song Rechenka from the same show as this one . Also her cover of Human , she truly makes it her own just like she did here . Then for fun check out Diana's cover of Oh Darling she only 10yrs old she so good and so so cute it's just a pleasure to see . Also I don't know if you ever heard of Angelina Jordan . But she's another unbelievably talented young lady you really need to hear , she won Norway's got talent when she was 8 yrs. old singing old jazz standards . Enjoy !!!

Recommendations for discovering Diana: My choice for the next song is actually Dernier Danse - the one with 50m hits. Why - to learn more about her artistic possibilities. You've seen the dark, now see the light. Then- find out about her back story - it will blow your mind. The vocal mechanism is critical and your ability to explain that is brilliant, but performance is surely driven from emotion and that's based in personal experience, in her case, I think, profoundly. Then Rechenka, a) because it's unbelievably sublime b) because it is very personal to her also Following that, I think it's got to be 'Human', knowing her back story I think you will understand her artistic choices and see how deeply personal to her this song must be Then, 'Snowstorm' to see and incredible statement of personal assertive power - it's amazingly empowering to watch also! Finally, 'Feeling Good' to see how she's also a fun loving teenager - just one with unbelievable talent... You don't have to do the above - just a personal view Loved your reaction, you're definitely in the top 5% of all the reactors I've seen - well done! Ankudinova - the "i" bears the stress with a short [i] sound. And the first name, being, of course, the same as its English equivalent, but pronounced in Russian with a short [i] as well and with the stress on the first "a": [di'ana].

Serge Gomelsky I am aware of that fact. However, listening to Russian people pronounce her name over and over dozens of times, as well as she herself, they pronounce her name Dee-Anna An-coo-dee-nova. It is a quick, short Dee, but it is still pronounced Dee, as opposed to Die, or Dye.

@@dk1usretk As a native Russian and a professional linguist, I can assure you that Russian, unlike English, does not have any long vowels at all. What you are talking about is just the difference between the way we usually pronounce stressed and unstressed (or reduced) vowels within a word or a phrase. Besides, Russian vowels are divided into soft and hard ones, with the pronunciation of the preceding consonants depending on which of the two follows. Thus, for instance, [i] is a soft vowel, while [o], [a], and [u] - all being hard ones.

Serge Gomelsky that is correct. However, I was explaining it in layman’s terms. Not everyone is a linguist and can understand how you are defining the pronunciation. I was explaining the actual sound and I can pronounce her name perfectly. You can clearly hear the short “i” sound of the “i” in Diana, but it is almost negligible in her last name, as it is a quick, hard “I” and a layman would hold that sound out mistakenly so as to sound like An-coo-deeee-nova, as I have heard many you-tubers do. Most of them also pronounce Diana as Dye-Anna, versus Dee-Anna. The short, hard “i” sound is e, not “i.”
