We all have to watch all of Chateau Bordeaux KZfaq channel so that can make enough to keep that house! Broke my heart when they said they would love to keep it but had to sell it.

Agree! If they make a playlist, like Stephanie did - with all of her episodes in order, then it’s easier for people to hit play once and they just keep playing until we choose to stop. I would come home from work & hit play so I could listen as I made / ate dinner, cleaned up, etc. I’d also like all the positive comments & leave a comment to help increase watch time, add revenue & help the algorithms. Just an idea. 🥰

This type of impressive building is normally called “un hôtel particulier”, in which the wealthy and influential families of a town or city would live, as described in many French classic novels. So much dedication and hard work have been put into it by Anna and her husband that they truly deserve to be able to keep it. All the best to them !

It really depends on where it is though. I can’t quite tell by watching the video, if it is in town or rather in the countryside (to me it looks more like they are somewhere in a village, but I might be completely wrong!). As you rightly say, it is important for a property to be set in an urban environment (among other specifications) to be called an hotel particulier...

@@theduchess9019 Agreed, I wouldn't call this an "Hotel Particulier" as all the surroundings are detached houses rather than buildings inside an urban center, I think the most suitable term would be "Maison de Maitre"

@@danielda4471 I agree with you. My mother grew up in a couple of "Hotel Particullier", I think those are called like that when they are more in a urban setting. They are more like the brownstones or town homes of NYC. It had even an elevator and my favorite a dumbwaiter! In Buenos Aires we call them Pettit Hotels.

The most notable element of this generation of Chateau owners is the incredibly hard work and sacrifice going into preserving these buildings. No entitlement here but a tenacious determination to carry on for future generations. An authentic appreciation for the work done before. Well done all! Whenever Anna touches the arm or shoulder or hugs her friends, her warmth radiates to many watching. Lovely quality.

I so agree! Ed has clearly given the planning of the restoration a great deal of careful thought (the media room!) and they have been gathering furniture and other decorative details for quite some time. Anna’s wee “moment” when they revealed they may have to sell made me tear up. She so loves this place. With all of the work they have to put in at the Chateau, I am amazed they have had the enormous amount of time to working on their own. They have already done so much work already. Let us just hope that they find a way to keep it!

Being in a town like that you could hold event nights every few months and charge a fee for dinner and salon music /outdoor concert for a small group.

Lovely house. Nice manageable size for a family home rather than a business. Nice to be in town, close to basic shops hopefully and the trains. The pineapple and parrot fabric on the bed is really nice. It would be great if you could get more for curtains.

Hang in there guys! Europe is on the straight edge to the end of this pandemic, you will make it, and you will pull through. I am sure this beautiful place will be a joy to you and you will make a profit from it. Heck, i would pay to stay in it and have a time of my life. People are so starved of traveling and exploring, if you hang in there i am sure you will be overwhelmed about how many people there is that want to come visit! Don't sell, keep fighting!! 2 years with no income to keep the other chateau going never mind this one, I do hope things change soon, but Europe has not been very ahead with the vaccines to free up the country and I think it was more English girls getting married in France, than French weddings.

@@barbibutton9619 some of the adverts are so freakin dumb and several are way over 5 - 10 mins long. I end up falling asleep and missing some of the vlog and have to go back and watch again 🤦♀️ that or I I lose connection and my phone turns off 🤯 any suggestions?

Of all the Chateau on YT YOURS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ONE...like the owners are so normal and lovely its none of my business but please don't sell....once France is open fully you will receive many bookings. Then there's wine tastings for bachelor parties, more weddings. The Chateau seems big enough to cater more than one party at a time. Then you can have a masquerade ball, New Years party. Rent out to event company as an option for different venues then all the work won't be on you . Sorry I'm ranting but you've done so much work and everything is soo beautiful.

Oh what an absolute stunning mini chateau. Just love it. Seems small, but so much room. Ed is such a man with so much knowledge of Reno! He is so good and such good taste on architectural and interior design. That chateau hime will be such a treat and much needed fir their kids/family. Ed getting into American luxurious amenities such a theater rooms and central heat/air! Beautiful staircase and home. 👍🏼

Dear Anna, I saw the pain and disappointment in your face when you explained why you couldn’t keep that gorgeous Chateau. It suits you perfectly and I can visualise how happy you and your family would have been in it. Also losing all those lovely mirrors, pictures etc. bought with such love, it just breaks my heart for you. I lost my house and am still grieving. However, you are both young and resourceful and God willing you will find an even more perfect home. God is great!

I’m devastated by the thought that this wonderful young couple will be forced to sell their idyllic home as soon as it’s done. This pandemic has devastated so many lives and dreams that it will be a joyous day when we return to normal. How tragic that Ed and Anna can't keep this beautiful home. It is perfection and they have really put their hearts into it. I will hope and pray that they can find some way to keep it in their family even if they have to rent it out for a few years to make back some of their money. It cost a fortune to run these chateaus money has to come from making them work, like holding weddings, I would very much doubt there millionaires, his parents own the other chateau.

Darn Covid has changed so many peoples lives and dreams.. So maddening.. I do love the stone on the outside.. So stunning.. Oh it is sooo elegant! I love it! I wish we could buy it and continue on Edd's hard work....and have you all over as our guests!! Ohhh but not in this lifetime...so sad. Anna is such a sensitive, darling person! I pray that their business picks up soooo much that they will be able to retain this second home....as a get away! Thank you so much for sharing with us Anna and Edd's lovely mini chateau!

Anything is possible. I believe 100% there is a way for Ed and Anna to keep the house! They need to be creative and hopeful and practice the law of attraction to make their dreams come true. Its totally possible....I know they can do it!! 💗🙌🏼💫
