this riff has been stuck in my head for YEARS because my dad used to play it for me as a kid and yesterday i was humming it in the dentist waiting room and the teenage boy next to me said “the chemical brothers?” and i literally had to thank him because he solved the main mystery in my life.

Wow! Wished we could have visited Malaga. We were stationed in Zaragoza, Spain back in the late 60s-'73. The Air Force Base had just been reopened. Generalisimo Francisco Franco was in power of the country then.

ok - let's go a trip down to memory lane. When this song was new, I was in a car in Athens going to a club, racing in the highway. It was the guy who was driving, me and the girl I liked. The song started blasting in the radio. We all started singing it at the same time, moving our heads in unison. I felt uniquely happy and free...so many years have passed, but this moment still seems so ideal. Live the moments, guys. They fly away.

The music was stolen from a Moroccan artist, Chemical Brothers lost the legal copyright case. They stole it during their stay in Morocco, thinking that artists in Morocco would never come after them... But they lost the 10-year-battle recently, which makes sense, because the copyright is sooo obvious... when I listened to this track the first time, it immediately made me think of the old Moroccan song.
