I actually would love to see the series go past Jesus's resurrection into the Acts of the apostles when Peter is bold and when Paul is called and when Paul is traveling even. :)

The Chosen I'm a theist (barely). After watching series one multiple times I've grown fond of the characters and I'm really not looking forward to the end. I do know how it ends. I hope you cover how Jesus' motley followers went from hiding in case the Romans crucified them too to openly preaching as if they didn't care whether they were killed or not. That is puzzling.

@@Clodaghbob It ends (or begins!) with the Resurrection--unimaginable joy after unimaginable suffering. So, yes, it'll be brutal, but the ending puts the pain in perspective. And the events of Pentecost mark a clear break for the disciples--that's when they really go from hiding to preaching boldly. Give the Book of Acts a good read! Now THAT book would make for a great TV show; quite the adventure story.

I LOVE these. This is how I see my Jesus! I love that you captured his personality in a way that was probably accurate. Thank you!!! My 18 year old even said "wait Jesus is laughing?" She loves these also. She now sees him in a more personal way.

Of the Apostles, the portrayal of Mathew is my favorite. The thing that GOT ME? Mathew and his dog. People who feel unpopular often turn to an animal companion for friendship. The dog was a BRILLIANT IDEA.

Really looking forward to what the future holds for this series. My family and I LOVE it. Personally, I hope the "chosen" theme can go beyond the ressurection in season 7 to include Pentecost, Peter's bold preaching, thousands coming to faith and a flash forward to Paul being "chosen". Maybe a brief view Paul's commissioning, his time in Arabia learning from Jesus, him meeting Peter, etc. Truly cannot wait! Thank you for all of the time and effort that you are giving such a wonderful project.

Crowd sourced casting idea! Gaius HAS to be the centurion at the cross. "Surely this man was the Son of God". Gaius's heart has been softened by his time with Matthew. Quintas, being very intuitive and insecure, sees this and "sentences" him to crucifixion duty with the intention of curing him of this potential allegiance. But God is in control and has already been at work....

That would tie it up perfectly but even if we could suppose that how do you we know that it wasn't just all of the events he witnessed at the crucifixion itself wasn't the reason he said that? That's a decision I don't envy them having to decide! But I love that idea none-the-less 😉

I like Nicodemus too He plays a great part as a Pharisee I can actually see him as humble man in biblical times, after he meets Jesus,

What I love about this character/actor is to watch his face for all the emotions...like the way he watched the guy that was healed walking right in front of him, or the way he looked at Shuemal (spelling) when he had gotten John the Baptist arrested...he is a great actor.

BTW, I wore my "Binge Jesus" Hoodie this weekend. I got stopped in a restaurant about it, and was able to tell people about THE CHOSEN, of which they were not aware. They were fascinated as I told them about the show's concept -- its beauty, its warmth, and its faithfulness to the Gospel. So cool! "Our" show is a bright spot in a chaotic world!

I just have to say, as someone who really doesn't enjoy crying, I am continually surprised at the numerous "moments" that not only cause me to tear up, but to break into gasping sobbing. This time it was seeing (again) Jesus choose Matthew... O the generous grace of God! 🥺😢😭

Whew Chile...this is the best show of our Saviour ever! I have watched this first Season at least 15 times or more. I want the whole World to see it. Paying it forward for others to see is my pleasure! Thnx "Chosen" for an outstanding, fantastic, and profound work of art! This is AMAZING!!! The part about the time in between the crucifixion and the resurrection reminds me of a play that my theatre director wrote called The Day Between. It's so exciting to see other people considering and recognizing the significance of that often-overlooked time for the disciples. Can't wait to see where this whole thing goes :)

The Chosen has changed my life... Of course the glory is all to God and Jesus and Holy Spirit, but let's give credit where credit is due... it was watching this show that I fell in love with Israel's culture and began exploring that. I'm now studying Hebrew and learning the Bible from Yeshua's (Jesus') point of view. He is, after all, Hebrew, Israelite, and a Jew. It's changed my life to learn the scriptures in the original language. Thank you all so much for your work and keep following the leading of the Ruach Ha'Kodesh (Holy Spirit). Have you discovered Jim Staley? He has so many mind-blowing Bible studies and Torah portions but also in his playlists is a beautiful dive into the Hebrew language. I have fallen deeper in love with YHVH and Yeshua by studying the O.T. after a lifetime of trying to study a gentile Jesus out of the gospels. I love that this series is capturing their Jewish traditions.

@livebreathmma Simon eventually ends up as a leader in the Church in Antioch and his sons are leaders of the Church in Rome. So Simon's not as minor as you'd have him.

Dallas, I don't think a day goes by that I don't tell someone about The Chosen and how amazing it is! And living in Utah, I can tell you people are ecstatic that they can watch it on BYUTV. Such a wonderful show and a great portrayal of the Savior and His apostles. I think I'm on my 7th time watching it and it never gets old because you have done such an amazing job of making them real and making Christ both holy and approachable. I'm still touched in some way by every single episode. I love the dvds and the wonderful companion devotional book. Thank you for sharing the gift of your talents with all of us. And for keeping us posted with these great videos.❤️

We can give thanks for sharing people like Jan and Jim who have given so generously of their time, energy, and resources to support this project. We can better understand the challenges that Dallas and his team have taken on, and pray for them accordingly. We can feel ourselves as drawn in to this project as we are into the show itself, acknowledging God’s call to come alongside his people in the effort to fulfill our great commission in every way that we are able. I've watched so many depictions of the Greatest Story Ever Told since I was real young and except for 2 others and this depiction, I can't say I've watched any that were done with justice. However, I feel like The Chosen has offered more than any other depiction that exists and I don't think this project can be topped. This is a beautiful series and it has been life changing for me and I'm excited to see what God does for the Cast & Crew and their families as well as the Viewers and their families. Thanks for all the inside information--how you're thinking about this wonderful project, how it's coming together, how it is blessing you...I told my wife about it after I'd seen it, and she wanted me to watch it with her. I had been amused by the insect moment at 11:33, but it wasn't till I watched it the 2nd time that I noticed that the background music pauses right before it and resumes right after it. I'm impressed that you are even giving production value to these vlogs now. Excellent!

I believe I should start buying Kleenex right now in preparation for season 6. I don’t know if the world will have enough to contain all the tears that will be shed. And even if Dallas did not tell us the ending, we know Jesus is triumphant! Thank you for bringing the Gospels to life. Much love and many prayers for all you have done and will continue to do. ❤️

My 5th conceived, first live birth, is also a Soldier. Lost one, then another, then twins before I was 23. One Army mom to another? Give Tom a huge hug, tears and prayers for you, and prayers to your son, from somewhere near Seattle, ok? When my son was only 19, he signed up for 8 years. 5 down, 3 to go. He will be 25 shortly. Long line of Military in my family (USAF and Army) and ONE UNAPOLOGICALLY PROUD MOMMA OF A SOLDIER, right? The disciples really came to life in Season 1 - reading the Bible now is an even more intimate and meaningful ( if one can say that!) experience because the words conjure up images from the film. The impact is tremendous! Jonathan's portrayal of Jesus shows integrity and has a mesmerising power. I cannot bear cruelty and injustice - will I be able to watch Season 6 at all???

Remember we as christians see the cross before us to see Jesus awesome love for us. He arose! Yes and we celebrate that great Victory! But we can never forget the greatest story ever told. So we may replay this in our minds at any given time. If we keep at the forefront how many lost souls need to see how Jesus suffering on the cross displayed his immense love for them. This will draw many to Christ for salvation. God bless.

Hallelujah. You’re focusing on the most important part of the biblical message, Yeshua. The whole Bible has been done as a movie. But never has anyone made Jesus become more real more tangible more relatable. Each person is living and breathing jumping off the pages. Each of us can relate to being like a disciple in someway. We can see our same needs, doubts and fears. God is in the details.

I love how you tell scripture more conversationally than other biblical tv shows or movies. One instance is when Jesus says “Mary.” When she is running from the bar in episode one. In the Bible, he calls her name after is has risen. The dialogue of this show is show awesome! I can think of many more lines/scenes that I love.

Praying daily for y’all, your families, this endeavor, and the potential viewers. A Christian friend recently mentioned Christ’s call to unlikely Matthew. Immediately, my mind’s eye saw it happening, as memory, NOT imagination. That’s because of The Chosen. As an educator trained in brain-based methodology and a devout Christian, I’m excited that God has ordained this series for these times.

I was so happy to discover that a Messianic Rabbi is one of your consultants and it really shows in the authenticity of the story.. He understands the Hebraic, 1st century perspective in which Jesus taught and the Jewish meanings to Jesus' teachings that so many Christians never hear about. Please don't leave him out. It is what helps make your production so unique.
