Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a 2022 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Black Panther (2018) and the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, the film stars Letitia Wright as Shuri / Black Panther, alongside Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Martin Freeman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Angela Bassett. In the film, the leaders of Wakanda fight to protect their nation in the wake of King T'Challa's death

It’s not only tragic that Chadwick passed from a merely human standpoint, but the rivalry between TChalla and Namor is legendary in the comics. It’s just not the same without him.

As much as I miss Chadwick boseman as Tchalla the Panther, the Black Panther in the Marvel comics universe was truly meant to be a mantle , not centered around one man...just like hal jordan is not the only green lantern. Shuri fights Namor in the comics. The storyline was back in 2009, before anyone was thinking about a Black Panther movie..... They took that storyline straight out the comics, and, it was easily adapted into the MCU continuity after the death of Chadwick boseman. I'm fine with Shuri as the Black Panther, she had been the Black Panther in the comics on and off for at least 10 years.

@@visionaerie again I'm not saying you are wrong, nor I'm saying Shuri has never fought Namor, I'm just saying few rivalries are legendary and iconic in the comics, like the one TChalla and Namor have with each other, it's not Namor and 'a Black Panther', yes Namor has fought other Black Panthers in the comics but as the OP said, they're not as legendary as compared to TChalla and Namor, as simple as that of a point we're trying to make

ah yes...the glorious climax where Shuri and Wakanda play right into namor's hands and give him what he wanted anyhow......and Namor gets to be all smug, not realizing the entire situation is likely being masterminded by Victor von Doom. (who almost certianly poisoned/assassinated Tchalla, then pulled a few strings to set THIS farce up.)

NOTE: I believe this Namor is NOT the same as the Original Sub Mariner of the Marvel Golden Age. For that Namor had Rival Strength of the Hulk or Thor. Black Panther however is only human.

Nothing hits harder than vibranium, but leaving vibranium bullets all over the world is a waste and a danger. Plus, Wakanda is very traditional, even in very serious matters. Hope Shuri can change that

I'm sorry that spear went right through her spine. She should be paralyzed. If a little bullet could paralyze Professor X then that spear (that can penetrate vibranium) should definitely have paralyzed Shuri.

That was not at her spine. That was like her lower left abdomen. Not to mention, the nano tech suit would most likely seal her wound. Just as Tony's suit did after being stabbed by thanos in Infinity War. Also she has the side effects of consuming the heart-shaped herb.

@riderchallenge4250 That's not actually the case. There's no suggestion that the Wakandan bloodline increases physical prowess. Its just their culture is more centred around hand to hand combat and, thus, making most Wakandans fitter than other people.

I do really enjoy this fight szene Shuri had so much anger in her. And then she can finally release it, get revenge and be the black panther. And how does it feel? Vile,brutal, bloody and painful. No honorful fight, the person wins, who can backstab or surprise the other more. Thats not like the honorful fights they fought in wakanda or the war they fought in endgame. And then she remembers the lessons. What it means to be the black panther. What it means to be a Leader. What uf means to a nation if they lose a king. And she realizes she cant kill him, or else his people will all feel the same pain and anger she felt.

So dumb. Namor knew he was weakened by the trap, but he chose to keep fighting in the desert when he could have either just flew back to the water or, better yet, grab Shuri by the throat and bring her with him. Instead, he stayed and fought. So so dumb.

The mayan culture similar to Sanatan the oldest form of Hinduism which we practice in India. In our culture it's a sin to run from a fight , our ancestors accepted death while repelling Islamists & British while they had the opportunity to run they chose to stay and fight for the homeland. @@ssssrrrr46678 You misread Google. Maya (Not Mayan, as the ancient Central American culture) is something in Hindu philosophy. How would any culture in the ancient Americas have any roots in a culture on the opposite side of the world? Namor's parents (and those that were with them) removed themselves from that society (Mayan or Aztec. I don't know because different places state that he's different things and the culture of the Talokonil is based on both Aztec and Mayan culture) for hundreds of years with nobody to war against. There would probably not be any honor lost by running from a fight, but that's not even was I was proposing. There's a difference between flying to get wet and come back and running from a fight. Also, as I said, he could have just grabbed her and took her with him.

I know that I'm in the minority for saying this but I feel like Marvel should have recast the role of Black Panther for the Black Panther sequel. The character is just too important to too many people to let the character die just because the actor did. But in fairness to Marvel, Chadwick Boseman's tragic and unfortunate death put them in a really tough position. Also, this is something ELSE that might put me in the minority here but I feel like Chadwick should have told Marvel, Kevin Feige and Ryan Coogler that he was sick and that he had cancer. Some people might say that it wasn't their business. But I disagree. That was a special circumstance, he was under contract with Marvel for more movies and they had a right to know that he had a serious terminal illness. It was Marvel's business, too, if the odds of him being around for much longer for future films were relatively slim.
