Thank you so much for the tutorial!! Really helpful! I was wondering what would we do if the Caps on the HDMI Port side didn't test okay (short to ground). Would they need to be replaced or should we remove the Encoder IC and check again?

It's best to remove the encoder and check again, because SMD cap failures are rare compared to the chip itself :)

@@TheCod3rThank you!! I hope you wouldn't mind answering 1 more question. There's also a EMI Filter that's exposed. I can see the copper wire. I'm assuming that needs a replacement?

@@varunprasad7299 no its fine as long as it has continuity between the top and bottom, and as long as it isn't continuous from left to right. The wire is protected with enamel so as long as it tests OK it's fine to leave as it is

I'm not sure to be honest but usually when they turn straight off its either the psu or a shorted apu
