Buy 1 each month sounds great, but who can afford to buy each month a book like ASM 2? Buy what you like is better. I buy only from artists I like, Kirby, Jim and Jae Lee, Frank Miller, Gene Colan, David Mack and so on. So some of these books never will be very expensive, no problem, I will buy them cause I like them. My daughters will eventually find out if it has been a good investment :)

Good advice at the end. I speculated when I first got back into collecting as an adult... bought and sold a bunch for a loss... live and learn, but if you can learn from another's mistakes... that's the best way to do it

"I've sold my collection twice and this is my third collection. Just buy 1 or 2 books a month and focus on the big stuff." Judging by that garage you're starting from a different position than most of us lol. But what a great collection, good for him. One day hopefully you'll show us the ungraded collection. Bet there's tons of great books. (And yes I'm jealous lol)

Lot of awesome eye candy! Thank you for this! He's got more heat than majority LCS out there. If I were him, I'd spread some of the chips around the table like buy a rental property or two and also some more TESLA stock. I bought into Tesla at $107 a share when a bunch of people were laughing at me. Who's laughing now? He's right on the purchase of big books. People are sleeping on them while still blowing money on the $300 or less modern books. It's fine, but the older grails have a better trajectory of appreciation with a much higher ceiling! Keep up this fire content my friends!

My problem is things are so more expensive today than 5-6 years ago, not just comics but everything else with rent and gas being the most now.

Very impressive collection! But very much disagree with his take on Sub-Mariner in the Black Panther movie. I thought they definitely did the character justice and he was badass! And to answer his question on the FF60, there’s 39 other 9.6’s and 18 9.8’s, so not super rare in high grade. Also there’s 34 9.8’s of ASM 164, so certainly wouldn’t call that “non existent” like he said.

Definitely an awesome/incredible collection. The two books he has that I don't have (I have full runs of ASM and Daredevil + working on X-Men) and would love to are the Tales 39 and Incredible Hulk #1. More than five years ago I passed on a Tales 39 at C2E2. It was a 5.0. The dealer added gave me an initial price cash and then raised it after talking to his partner. I didn't pull the trigger. I wish I would have. That book is 3X higher now than the price I was given. Like your friend said you have to think big. Buying a bunch of books doesn't add the value to your collection like the big boys do. More importantly the big books keeping going up and at a faster pace than the others books in a series if your a completionist like me.

Cgc used to recommend after every seven to 10 years to recase the book because the micro chamber paper was supposedly used up but then they realized that the microchamber paper last a lot longer so if you store your cgc cases in a cool climate-controlled room not in the garage or attic or basement there's really no need to change them even after twenty years I did the whole I have cases from 2001-2002 and I cracked two of them open they weren't worth that much and they were still in the exact same condition paper quality still bright white pages and funny enough I resubmitted both of them 1 was 94 and one was a 96 came back a 96 and a 9.8 WhitePages I did the resubmit back in 2022

Love your collection man! I’ll never be where you’re at but it would be nice to even have 1 of those secondary doubles. Very envious of your collection. Must be nice to have the $ to even attempt this. Your family is in for a treat when you pass these on. Keep me in mind when that day comes. Jk awesome collection!

Conan The Barbarian #10 was one of the first three comics I ever read, then it took me 20 years to finally get #1 but mine is nowhere near a 9.6. Trading up is definitely a sensible and potentially lower-cost way of upgrading one's collection - a strategy that makes a lot of sense and goes perfectly with buying what you enjoy.

That Hulk 1 can be a CPR candidate if you use the right presser. The spine is rougher than needed, along with some wrinkles.

I’ve gotta stop watching these. I’m 60 years old now, and to be able to finish school I sold my entire collection. Mind you, it was 1990, but I had 600 books, all in MELLINEX bags with acid free backing boards, in acid free storage boxes. Back when the grading scale was the old M, NM, VF, F…I had X-Men 1-20; GS X-Men 1, X-Men 94-160 2 copies each all in nm/mint (one to read a little the other went straight to storage). Hulk 181, Avengers 4, Tales To Astonish…I’m doing this from memory, but it was the first appearance of Groot. I bought for 5 bucks b/c I thought a talking tree was cool. Man, I could talk comics forever. I bought X-Men #3 back in the day in NM condition for $20 bucks…My Dad was PISSED!!! The whole run of Neal Adams Green Arrow/Green Lantern (literally everything Adams ever did). Ok, I’m stopping now.
