This truck was just too nasty NOT to film cleaning it up!. Crazy enough everything under the mold is original paint!

I haven’t seen a Ford painted “Confused” in years. That top color is “Confused” because it doesn’t know if it’s yellow or if it’s green. I had a 72 F250 2wd flatbed that color. Rustiest truck I ever owned but it could haul a mountain and would go just about anywhere and refused to die. It started at -60F, went through snow over its bumper, hauled 3 yds of washed granite crushed to 1” chunks, and when I retired it from the roads it was used as a yard mule at work hauling a 300 gallon water tank to water the trees on a tree farm. The cab was so rusted the only thing holding it on was the steering column and radiator support. But it kept going

A great survivor find! In the green colour, it's making me think of the 1960's Matchbox #50 Kennel Truck: which is also a green F100 style-side bed.

God I f'ing love Bumpsides!! Best looking pickup ever made IMO! First truck I ever drove was a '70 F250 2WD. I seen the Dead in Cincinnata in 1985, and then the Sat. and Sun. shows at Alpine Valley in 1987.

I would love to have this truck or one like it. When I was growing up you were allowed to ride in the bed of trucks and we were a big family. The truck was our only vehicle so everywhere we went us five kids rode in the back. Same color year and everything. Wow!

Nice day for it. I was given a 1961 Ford truck that sat on the north side of a shed for many years. In Humboldt County, California. So it would be a worthy contender in the green algae condition. 😂

You missed a spot! Just kidding, but you gotta love that Texas metal. In Wisconsin, it's impossible to pull off that much mold to reveal a virtually rust free body. Cool ass truck!

Nice old truck! I bought a 1972 F250 Custom Camper Special back in fall of 1992 from my dad's cousin. He was 1st owner and he ordered it from the factory. It had the same 2 tone color setup as yours but the top was a little lighter green called winter green and the lower dark green was mallard green. My dad couldn't figure out why he chose those colors when you had your blues, reds and whites. Anyhow, it was still considered unsightly in the 1990's but nowadays, the original colors would be kind of neat.

Oddly satisfying to watch. Sat back in my recliner with a hot cup of coffee and relaxed while you did all the work. I enjoy power washing and sandblasting things. Guess I am a little weird, but I am reasonably sure I am not the only one who feels that way. I enjoy all of your videos and I have learned a lot. Keep up the hard work. You have a lot of followers.

Gotta wonder if they coated her in lard before it was parked LOL. That mildew found all kinds of goodies to feed on. Still looks solid. If the interior is still in good shape after 50 years she's a gem!!

Love all u tubers saving these classic good American trucks. LONG live the Ford... so tired of the LS truck swap because they won't start. Love the Green, my pops had 72 short step side. that i had my first taste in driving when i was 10, with a clutch I moved it 2 feet 6 in ... 6 inches was into the garage wall. but he rarely owned green Cars, so he sold it as so many other cars he owned and moved on. Now that was back in mid 80's. He no longer with us. but those are times you don't forget. NICE Truck

My guess is QV paint code, wintergreen over mallard green, it's probably the best 72 color combo there is. I'm more of a Prairie Yellow guy myself but with these trucks so many of the colors look so good.
