Not here to argue at all, but there is a definite charm to those videos too though. The overall diversity, talent and personality makes this channel unique. The recognition of the upped quality is deserved, hope you will just make creative projects that can still include those topics like the photograph stencils and stuff too if the inspiration strikes you. Man, you love what you do! I won't lie, one video a month is a looong wait, but that one video is always a highlight. If you're moving away from animation I'd love to see you work on something that pulls together the 3D printer, mold making and the laser (as these are all tools I currently use and I'd love to see how you get them synergising). Thanks for the inspiration - I seriously admire your skillsets.

I can't tell you how many times I've run a circle saw, table saw, chop-saw, etc. WITHOUT a mask. It's always later that I regret it, when I cough or blow my nose and think "HOW much of this did I breathe?" Even the regular ol' wood dust is reportedly *not* ideal for the lungs. When I first got a camera back in the day I made a couple little dump videos for proof of concept. This was before any tech was commercially available for it or video's existed explaining how (KZfaq was not even monetized yet). It was me a crappy camera, a tripod and a few objects and idea's. I never did anything like them again and instead pursued music but to this day they are my favorite video's because I felt I had made something out of nothing. The Craftsman is right about the sound, the sound is what gave my videos personality and credibility. Great video kind sir! :)

Autotoggle seems a bit similar to how traditional paper animators will "roll" their paper. Basically just quickly flipping between the last few frames back and forth to make sure the movement looked fluid. Onion skinning is great, but the reason people would do this instead of taking their work to a light table (what onion skinning is actually mimicking) is bc onionskin just shows you where things were, but not necessarily how they look in motion, which is arguably as important. Though that's not to say both aren't incredibly useful! Just know gotta know how to use yur available tools.
@TheCrafsMan
@TheCrafsMan Жыл бұрын
You nailed it! That's a much better/clearer way of saying it than how I did: "onionskin just shows you where things were, but not necessarily how they look in motion, which is arguably as important." Excellent advice! Thank you for watching!

No shame in taking care of stuff in post production. After all, as our friend once said, "The worlds gone crazy. In post we're gonna fix it. Throw on ya' leather pants. Get post apocalyptic." Thanks for another great video. I might have to learn how to use my fancy phone and do some of this. I mean hey, I did a little (silent) project with a video camera from 1999 by recording and hitting the pause button with each position change, and hoping it wasn't too much of a strain on the video tape. This method has GOT to be easier!

TRAVIS! Mannn, I've been there with the VHS "animation"! :D This brings back some fond (and sometimes frustrating) memories! :) Honestly, shooting on 8mm film was easier than VHS, but the tradeoff is... had to send the film away for developing before knowing if it was even exposed right. LOL! So neat hearing from someone else who's actually done animation on a camcorder! Thanks for watching!
