Where has your channel been all my life?? My tastes run more contemporary/modern than farmhouse, so I used PVC pipes that I painted matte black instead of wood, and the gold square wire baskets from dollar tree with gold spray paint to finish. This is such a brilliant and inexpensive DIY, I love it!!

Duuuude…..that was awesome!! Who would have thought you could make some so nice with paint sticks! I wish I could have seen this before I ordered sconces that look just like what you made. So I made these. But didn't need more lighting, or want more cords. So I did everything the same, but used Dollar tree kitchen twine to make a small "macrame" plant hanger, but used the large cyclinder glass vases in it. Then I placed tealights inside. It looks so good. Wish I could attach a photo! Thanks guys!

This showed up in my suggestions and I'm so glad it did. We live in an older trailer (1985) and the placement of the light in the kitchen doesn't make alot of sense. I need a light over my sink because it's very hard to see. We had talk about rewiring for a new light fixture about the sink. This seems like such a better idea especially sense this would only cost a few dollars compared to the unknown cost that could come from added a new fixture. Thank you so much for this video and soon I will have a light above my sink.

The idea is great but execution failed for me when i tried. Either i was doing something wrong or that's inevitable with the suggested supplies. Hot glue is not strong enough to hold the wooden parts together or take the weight of the lamp kit. My structure started falling apart, E600 or wood glue might be better. However, thank you CraftyCouple for the idea. I bought the wooden bracket from Amazon for $7 + $5-6 for ikea lamp kit + $5 for edison bulb + 2 command velcro strip. With the readymade bracket, i didnt have to make any holes in the wall. Used command strip to stick it on the wall and Voila!!! Thanks for the idea.😉😄

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. We use hot glue for time purposes, but would recommend to use a stronger glue. Ours has held up just fine with the hot glue though. I'm glad you were still able to make something that worked for you. Thank you for sharing! ♥️🙂
