The shelf stable milk is great. If you notice, the expiration date lasts longer than "regular" milk. And there is nothing wrong with putting it in cereal, I use it all the time (as long as it is nice and cold).

Nice food haul. I buy some items from DT. If you cook with mushrooms, they have sliced mushrooms for $1.25 you can't get them at the grocery store for that price. The pieces and stems are $2.64. I use them when I make chicken marsala. I saw a picture of you in Sarah Jane's wedding. Your looked handsome. Have an awesome day.

A little tip with the movie snacks. Take them out if the boxes and put in zip lock bags so they don't rattle. Some theaters won't let you "sneak in" snacks.

We buy the box milks to donate for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Baskets given out at: Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas. Also, a great addition for their emergency food pantry as it lasts for quite some time on the shelf.

I live 17 miles from the grocery store and d/t a health condition, I don't drive. Since watching your channel, I keep some food items from the Ole DT to have on hand when we run out. It sure helps so thank you.

Good food haul. I like to get chicken Rice A Roni and cut up some vegetables, I sauteed the vegetables and cook the rice in chicken broth and cook the chicken mix all that with cream cheese and put in casserole dish sprinkle with grated cheese and bake till hot and cheese is hot. How long does it last? I've never noticed it at my $Tree. I usually keep a can of evaporated milk in my pantry, for those 'oops, not enough milk for this recipe' situations.

I kept the shelf stable milk in my cupboards when we lived in small remote brother British Columbia towns where groceries came in on a barge once a week and my kids were small. I wanted to be sure we never ran out of milk but now that the kids are out on their own and it's just hubby and I and we are back in civilization, we buy 3x1 litre bag pkgs. Of milk as needed.

Oh Gosh Jamie, We ALL buy the snacks, I do, my Grandkids love going and buying there favorite snacks lol, So you are not Alone there, Yes they really do have some neat Food items although I only have one DT so they do not always carry same stuff it's was nice hearing what you Got n what you do with the item as it gives us more things to cook and Ideas for sure. Heading for my summer job in the late 70s, cupboards were kind of bare that morning so I grabbed a box of Wheat Thins and a pkg. of Philadelphia Cream Cheese.🤨😬 Come lunchtime I got a few funny looks but they tasted delicious! Everyone LOVED them, like the two were made to go together. We just scraped our wheat thin across the block of cream cheese no prob, it was the 70s.😉

Love the food haul. Both my son and I use the shelf-stable milks, him regular, me almond and oat. The stir-fry items are always good. A lot of different things can be added to stretch them to make a meal, or several meals. Sometimes I can find an assortment of frozen fruit in the freezer section. Take some of that shelf stable milk, add some frozen fruit, add a banana or two, process in a blender and you have a smoothie. Something cool and healthy for those hot summer days. I will need to check out my DT for some of the other items. They all seem interesting and worth checking out. Thank you for sharing.

I just eat keto or very low carb, however, the cheese balls, those were my dad's favorite. I would get a bag for him on Father's Day and on his birthday. Brings back some memories! Thanks for sharing your videos!

The stuffing mix is good with a can of salmon or mackerel for patties. About a half a box with a can with an egg make really good patties. I'm sure it would be good with tuna also. (I give credit to Rebecca from Dollar Tree dinners that did these with imitation crabmeat.)

They have all natural foods as well. Their pizza sauce I use is all natural. Some of the teas are also and they have brown rice. Love Dollar Tree ❤🙌

I love some of the snack foods at DT too. I'm hooked on the asparagus in the jar in the veg section. I prefer fresh but this stuff is good in a pinch. And just enough for a single serving. Haven't seen the rice though. I'll have to be on the lookout for that. Great video. Hi to Otis (BTW that was my dad's name).

I take a can of chicken and add it to the chicken ala king in the can and serve it over the rice. Love the precooked rice!

Hi Jamie! I was really intrigued by that tomato seasoning and looked at it when I was in DT today. The flavor profile reminds me of the seasoning on the grilled shrimp at LongHorn. My DT had 8 oz of shrimp for $4 or $5. I think you could make a great dupe of Longhorn with that seasoning! If the line hadn't been so long, I would have gotten some but I'll be back! Check out the coconut milk - I love chicken satay and the brand they sell there is the same as my regular grocery stores and less than half the price. Love ya, L

The pot stickers are perfect for soup like what I got addicted to in good eating places when I worked for a Japanese-owned company in the Torrance, CA area. Just add to some broth (good ones often at DT), something like the frozen peppers/onions and any veges you like. Adding ground chicken or whatever makes it more filling/adds protein.

My favorite DT food is the freeze dried apple slices. No added sugar, crunchy and delicious. There's other fruits, but the apple are the best. My DT also has heat & eat refried beans that are excellent for burritos.

I just grabbed the Hereford chili con carne packets as you can't get that quality for the price anywhere. I still have a few packets of their spicy beef from DT, and mixing the 2 is perfect as the spicy has more liquid and is quite And you can always add things like the stir-fry mix and/or other veges to make soup, or kind of like a stew. Topped with cheese it's wonderful to eat with tortillas or corn chips. I happen to think DT tortillas are the best!

My mother in law worked at a daycare for years as a prek teacher. She's at a private school now. Anyway, the daycare used shelf stable milk. The parmalat brand I believe. Idk if there's a difference in taste brand 2 brand, but she said it was gross with cereal & stuff. I could seet cooked in things & tasting ok. My mom on the other hand grew up on powdered milk. She hated it. Her mom was a little lactose intolerant, so that's all she kept around. Fun fact not all places in the world are close enough to a dairy to have fresh refrigerated milk. Lots of the world has no idea what it tastes like. Also, I learned milk comes in bags in parts of Canada & some other countries that don't use glass bottles.

I love it when ibotta gives a rebate for the party box in the summer & it's on sale at walmart. That's the best time to buy jarritos soda. Fruit punch, 🍓, mandarin & 🥭 are my favorite. The hubby loves 🍍, lime & 🍉 also.
