We just visited Oatman, cute little town. It was fun to see your view of the town and what it has to offer. We showed mostly the scenic parts of our drive.

Wild Donkeys! That’s so cool

Yeah there is alot of ghost towns here in Arizona where I live. Like Lost Dutchman's mine I've been to & Tombstone town. Arizona is full of history here whether it's of the natives or cowboys or old west trails

Visited Oatman three years ago on a Route 66 road trip & was totally enchanted by the wild Burros. Such a sweet expression on their faces, especially when they hold up traffic for half an hour or so as they wander around waiting for visitors to feed them!

Just got back from my own Route 66 trip. Love Oatman, Kingman and the that stretch of 66. I stayed at the El Travitor twice, this trip it was in the John Wayne room, right by where the map was being filmed, and the other time the window on that stagecoach was the window of my room. Cool stuff and great job!

It's nice to see they are opening some things up. When I was there 9 years ago, we couldn't go upstairs in the hotel, and that mine was not open, nor did we see a skit in the street like this. Very cool.

Omgosh...I’ve been through so many of these places years ago with my (late) husband 💙and three kids traveling across country. Hubby was from cally, I am from NC. He never ever wanted to sight see while traveling. Thanks for so many memories. He did let us stop to use the port-a-potties😂🤣

Born on 66 in Kingman, raised in Bullhead, grew up going to Oatman, remember the Needles underpass, shot the hell out of the desert from Topock to Hackberry, infected w Necrotiizing Fasciitis workin cattle in Seligman where you ended day 2, had my life saved by amputating my leg at the Level 1 trauma center in '11 in Flag. I know all this country like the back of my hand. Only thing you missed was the Andy Devine history in Kingman where he was raised long before he was the Dukes sidekick. Very nice job. Love the channel

Awe shucks. I grew up in L.A., Granada Hills and Northridge. Every summer my dad took 66 on the way to Nashville. Being 60 a lot of these towns were thriving. Thanks for the reminders.

Good video. It's Topock, an Indian word for "Bridge" (not top rock). I remember travelling old route 66 for years, and stopped at a lot of these places when they were jumping. From Barstow to Oklahoma City, our family travelled old 66. Getting gas at Whiting Brothers, , eating at restaurants no longer there, hotels, roadside attractions. Even paid to see the pet rattlesnakes in the pit east of Kingman, but that day in 78, they were all dead. Thank you for these great memories.

I have been to Oatman twice now, what a unique town. Love those little donkeys. My sister and I stapled our dollar bills on the the Old Hotel Wall. There are $1 hanging from the ceiling and walls, amazing.

In June I decided to go up the part in AZ from somewhere near lake havasu, up thru oatman, kingman and then went to flagstaff, then on to Zion national park, i did this alone and it was one of the best trips of my life! It was awesome up to Oatman, such a little neat place, I didn't have time to stop tho, I hope I can go again and spend more time checking out the spots...and Zion...oh, I think I left my heart in Zion...most beautiful place I have ever seen...btw...I almost lost my eyesight twice and now they are nearly perfect...I got to see it with these fixed eyes and I am so grateful to have been able too!
