Unfortunately I wasn't at this festival but I was able to see them live at another one and it was so incredibly fun. Besides the great music, they have an absolute talent to captivate the audience from the beginning and make them feel part of the show. I really hope to see them again next year. Anyway, I'm very happy to have found this live show video and to be able to show you this way some of their hits with crowd interaction etc.

They are fantastic live, no matter what size of stage they are playing. Saw them in front of >20.000 plus at M‘era Luna and at the (packed) Musikzentrum with maybe 800 people. And their commitment is the same at any time!

The main singer on this (Hauptmann), the violinist (Johanna) and the bagpipe player ("Hodi", who is the main singer for other songs and a backing singer here, along with their bass player) are the three members who have been in the band the longest time, and they're usually the ones doing the crowd work. Plus they have the two dancers, the "Miezen" (kittens), who do their choreographies on stage. Not so much for this song though, here they just waved the flags at the beginning. They're in various costumes for other songs.

I love Feuerschwanz, I find the music to be feelgood and fun, even though I do not speak German I can understand what the songs mean, they are a great blend of styles and instruments with some fantastic singers frontin, Hans on guitar is seriously underrated

ARTE is a Frenach-German TV cooperation, on air for 30 years now. It's focus is culture in all its aspects (music, movies, science), and it's advertisement free. On their YT channel they provide a plethora of music of all genres, basically from Baroque to Rock.

This intro of their Show is absolut outstanding. Its pure emotion. I was able to see it 3 Times and it take you in to abolute pure positive Energie and you know it will an epic Show. And how the interact whith the Crowd is inccredible.

One thing I think is really cool about this song is the Dies Irae theme around 9:42. Since this is a song about life and death, Dies Irae (Day of Judgment) really fits.

well the band's origins were the medieval reenactment fairs where you usually especially in Getmany you got nands like Corvus Corax or Tanzwut playing these fairs for years with medieval instruments only and in costume...and they started as a kinda parody band adding a mix of diferent period costumes as well modern instruments together with old so they had plenty live experience before their latelly started get more fame and climb charts. And the lyrics are great too especialy i love the last verse part :"Ich hab geliebt und verlor'n Doch stieg ich wieder empor Die nackte Faust gen Himmel hab ich mir geschwor'n" (I loved and i lost But i I've risen again swearing i will raise my nacked fist to the sky )

This show at M‘era Luna was incredible. I was there in the pit and as official photographer for them I could shoot the complete show, which was hot as hell in a double meaning. They had a very, very intense use of flame jets (they increased the usage throughout the show) but always fitting to the show / song. Shooting them was so much fun, but it was difficult not to start dancing in the pit. It was so hot, that afterwards they were asking if there were still eyebrows left 😎🤘

You are a lucky one. But at the MPS they were also very good ;) And it was hot there too, even without pyro technic. Every few minutes an ambulance came to pick someone up. But still, everyone participated. It was simply worth it.

i was also in the pit! for me it was the best concert at the mera this year! Have now bought tickets for cologne in 2023!

@@kratzvonscharfenstein Great Festival again with a lot of awesome performances. I was there for nine bands this year with full show and took mire photos then ever. PS: I meant the photographers pit 😉

Nice reaction as always, though one thing I don't understand. You mentioned that the sound sounded so good for a live setup. But don't we here the sound as it is recorded before it actualy comes out of the speakers? So how do you know it sounds good live? I am sure I'm missing something, I just don't understand. Besides that, good song indeed, I enjoyed watching it.

Yeah, I've already prioritized a few more songs from this gig, they'll probably come in the next few months. And I think I'll prioritize some of their great covers as well, should no one else do so.

@@imrehundertwasser7094 Thanks for the information. I absolutely do not understand why they have set this to private, but I will contact DH about this and if necessary switch to the SUMMER BREEZE concert. Really too bad, especially because DH had the mix at this concert so pleased.
