The US economy is a powerhouse with a diverse range of sectors. The stock market and the dollar have traditionally been safe havens due to their long-term growth and stability. Not offering any particular advice, but I can assure you that it's not as hard as many people think it is. Ordinary investors lack the requisite level of diligence, so having a financial advisor on board is usually highly beneficial. In the market, this is how people generate enormous profits.

If the FED cuts interest rates, wouldn't that increase access to currency and thus result in more currency flowing into equities? I have never heard of interest rate cuts scaring the equity market.

I would anticipate a melt up as the FED repeatedly cuts interest rates. After a Melt Up and with various serious conflicts on the horizon, the guest's suggestion to be in commodities seems reasonable, commodities like gold. I hope a different commodity proves itself, such as bitcoin.

Biggest problem for the miners is that unlike the past there are way more options to invest in now. I don't think the historical chart is as predictive as this guy thinks it is. It's not getting any easier to mine with so many obstacles and people just don't view it as a reliable investment. If they come into the sector at all, I think they will look at pure spot price ETF's rather then miners. Gold is gold. Miners are potential gold with endless complications. Why deal with the complications?

Even if the mining stock goes to 0 (absurd), you still get the dividends from the company mining the gold and selling it for a fortune. You dont need the price of the mining stock to go up for it to be an incredibly good buy, which is why its not just a speculative play - unlike bitcoin.

We have seen this story before. The markets melt up and the narrative is “everything is fine/great.” This time will be much worse given the global debt.
