I have a Hercules which was $85.00 (coupon) including a battery and charger. I use it daily for drilling and driving and give it a beating (drops) along the way and it keeps on going. At ~ $150.00, the new comer is almost 2x the price.

We have definitely entered a golden age of impact drivers where most modern ones have plenty of power and have to find other ways to distinguish themselves. Also crazy to see comparisons these days that dont even include the once gold standard makita.

Did you see the "Torque Test" on using battery adapters? The Flex battery with the Hercules 1/2" was pretty badass. They list adapters below. Watch their latest video. But what if you used the Senix 58v or whatever their biggest battery is, to their 1/2" drive or 3/4"... I saw they make a lawnmower battery.

The thing about the tools is the result will vary depending on personal use/care. It seems to be a good tool. I hope that they don't overprice their product.

Flex is cool and all, but that massive 24v battery platform is a deal breaker for me. I'll take slower but smaller and lighter everyday.

I payed $99 for my cordless grinder a 5ah battery and charger from Bauer granted I have like 7 charger so that's moot ya my only two gripes on my brushless impact not that compact and the chuck sucks. My brushless drill runs great and has a metal chuck , and I know sounds dumb a plastic chuck big deal breaker for me . And on top of that Bauer bear tool $39 can't beat that . Now the fact they don't have there hammer drill or right angle in brushless ya kind of sucked . I'm looking into a secondary battery platform and as is sitts I'm thinking Hercules my by it one is most of there new stuff is only about $10 more then Bauer. But love your videos you are my go to on what to consider. This brand just seems a little high and not any higher quality then what I can get

Main issue I have with your tests, I don't know how much pressure you have applied with your left hand during each test. In the future tests, instead of using young hand, use a weight to press down on the drill/device. Use; 5lbs, 10lbs and 15lbs weights.

Partnering with a Nascar team is you write them a check. It means nothing. Your test is actually means more. Too new for me. At least they don't have a dumb name. Price is a little high to me.

The only way these competing brands could attempt to win or dominate is price. Cheap, cheap batteries and equal tools at half price or better. If a person is already invested in Dewalt, Milwaukee, or Makita; these new to market tools are a non starter. No hope, no chance. Hart, Flex etc. look how Rigid struggles and they only did as well as they did because of the warranty. With the existence of Riobi and HF brands; all these new brands just need to stop muddying up the market. Wouldn't mind if Hart and Flex went away.
