Derek Ward because she doesn’t ‘believe’ in sunscreen and everything she says about skincare is diametrically opposed to what studies tell us.

Her products are hippie junk, basically the anti vaxx of the skincare world

@@elizabethsmith9624 Nah she does believe in spf, she says she uses zinc oxide in her products, which offers sun protection. I don't know how effective mixing in zinc to your moisturizer is, but she does believe in sun protection. Also her products, while high aren't hippy junk. I don't think natural skincare is hippy at all, I think its a beautiful art.

'+RebekkaHgsn Sometimes the Essential Oil "itself" isn't what's the reason your skin is burned. There's possibly multiple reasons why this happens! As an analogy for one reason could be concerned with sourcing itself; take for instance your favorite vegetable or fruit, even a flower normally feels,tastes,smells &/or it's reaction to your inner or outer system makes you feel good or even better for using it however you normally would. Then imagine that due to it's source, something changes. Perhaps you have a different reaction or experience, it might be the same source physically but the person who grows it changes, or the way it's grown like the grower/farmer changes to using an insecticide or changing from a natural to a toxic, at least to your system, insecticide. Or there's a cause for the water source to carry something you react to. Another cause, most common to those who don't really research or know a lot about natural ingredients, how their "essence" or beneficial or fragrant nature is extracted isn't superior or the best way to extract that, what should be good benefit, is used. You could be sensitive to the essential oil or one of the essential oils or the carrier ingredients or the wrong carrier or delivery ingredients aren't right in general or for you. Most essential oils aren't to be used on the skin in high or direct concentration & needs a carrier oil that is soothing to your unique body, sometimes it's the "recipe" isn't for you. Most often, in my experience, people are getting a synthetic "fragrance oil" & not an "essential oil" or a cheap mode of extraction or a combination of essential oils that create a reaction. Few people who have used the best sourced, correctly extracted essential oil or product containing it or a combination of ingredients (sourced & mixed correctly) have adverse reactions if it's used in the way you're supposed to & are meant to be offered for use. The purest &/or most responsibly & correctly sourced & correctly extracted & offered for sale & used as it's meant to be used is often much more expensive & unfortunately, unless you KNOW you can trust the sourcing & extracting person or company (like May Lindstrom, whom you can email your needs, concerns, past reactions & what you expect from any of her line at care@maylindstrom.com or may@maylindstrom.com) you may never know the benefits of superior essential oils. Finally, although I only suggested a very limited amount of possible causes for your experiences with essential oils, if you have a real need or desire to enjoy the benefits of "natural, responsibly sourced & formulated or offered for use or your dining table" don't throw out the baby with the bath water, so to speak, as speaking with an expert, an osteopathic doctor or someone whom is educated & can prove their knowledge (there is accreditation in the art of working withe essential oils, plant tinctures & holistic &/or homeopathic remedies &/or medicine).
