Thank you! We felt like it could add a lot to the game. There aren't many games available where you can build your own resource pool based on the characters you choose. It also provides some interesting decisions on which abilities to activate and when, depending on how powerful they are and how long that token will be on the cooldown track.

Like a dolls eyes? All joking aside, I'd love to hear some comparisons between this and Unmatched. So far this seems a lot more up my alley.

I'm obviously biased since I was on the Funkoverse team, so I'm not going to say one is better than the other. I will say that while the games both have minis and combat, they are very different in almost every other way. Unmatched is ultimately a combat game entirely, since you win by defeating your opponent, while Funkoverse has differing scenarios that reward other avenues for points. Also, Unmatched is a very "grab-n'-go" type of thing because you simply pick one character, grab their deck, and play. Funkoverse is a squad based game so you are building a team and picking items and such. While they are getting compared a lot, I think there's definitely room for both.

I need characters with more 'life' to their look. Chibi is fine, Funko is too simple a version. That's probably why Rick and Morty actually look quite good.

In another video Tom and Sam did that was longer where they were testing some games including Funkoverse one of the companies responsible for the game, Prospero Hall, was in the live chat. Someone asked about the other 2 Golden Girl characters. Prospero Hall's reply was: "Official statement: We're definitely aware there are 2 other Golden Girls and that people would enjoy having the other 2. ;) ;) ;)" So, I would say it is very likely the other two get released later in another 2 pack.

The other 2 Golden Girls were just announced to be released in March, 2020!

Sure, and Batman, Harry Potter, Rick and Morty, and the Golden Girls aren't particularly anachronistic with each other, coming from the same approximate time period.

Ken, the scenarios give you other things to do that sort of dissuade you from just clumping up. There are points on the board to go gather, plus a scenario that rewards capturing zones, returning flags, etc. The team on this game loves tactical miniatures games, and while we wanted to make something accessible, I assure you that we put in a lot of strategic choices!

Yeah, you're probably right if you completely ignore the scenarios. Not saying that the scenarios will make the game any more your "thing", but I wouldn't want to give anyone the impression that your description of the game is accurate.

@@justindavis9493 Technically, anachronism is purely a time-based thing. It refers to something being portrayed in the wrong time period. It does not refer to different intellectual properties overlapping or even different "universes" overlapping. It's an alright use of the word since most of us know what he means, but it's definitely not being used "correctly".
