Hey what program are you using? Rekordbox? How‘s your progress going? I just ordered the flx4 as my first console aswell! I‘m thinking about using rekordbox cheapest subscription service as my software but im unsure

@@NicoShorts2000 I'm using rekordbox, the console opens up a ton of features and I've found no reason to pay for any subscriptions yet, I just do it all for fun myself in VRChat

As djs we can't control the technology that's being created for djing, the biggest problem is that if you didn't dj in the 70s, 80s and early 90s you really don't understand the craftsmanship and the art of djing, scratching, bpm, and having a ear for music 🎶 🎵 👌 it's like a course you have to earn and learn 😉 so in the comments section don't be mad at young djs who want to learn how to scratch and mix because they don't understand the concept💯👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽so it's a plus that equipment is able to be made to help make it easier 😉 learn and study the art before purchasing equipment and thinking it's going to turn you into DJ JAZZY JEFF 💯💯💯💯👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Whats the point of buying dj equipment that does everything for you? Thats not dj’ing! Dj’ing is when you do it yourself. If you dont want to select tracks or mix them, just accept you arent interested in dj’ing. It got crazy how much all this technology has changed since i done it.

Ruins the art. Start off with a DDJ-200 and learn techniques first. Learn how to count bars, and how to properly mix. When you go into a club, A lot of them aren’t going to have a setup like that in order to automatically use those functions.

don't buy pioneer gear unless you plan on playing in clubs. Its overpriced, with less functionality and overall shittier than denon and native instruments yet pioneer players are the standart for clubs and festivals for some reason

@@alexanderangelkov6338 Pioneer is just more intuitive. It might have less features and be mor expensive, but it just gives you exactly what you want. Swithing between devices is easy (they all work quite the same), and everything is refined to a point where you can play without even watching at your console because you can rely completly on the feeling it gives you. And this is something you really want for higer level Djing, for a solid standard at clubs, and also when you have to spend hours and hours working with it. For example, the mechanic Jogwheel. Its a must, you cant be aware all the time to not touching by accident your Denon MC tactile pad because your music will completly stop. With the mechanic one, I can even put my hand on it and wont stop until I decide pushing it down Idk it just gives you

Idk how well this feature works but you will probably never really feel like that you can rely on it 100%, so it might turn to something like the Beat Sync. You use it sometimes when your lazy to match a 123 with a 123.6, but not as your main wapon for mixing the tracks. And yes, as others wrote just try learning all the basic things before going into James Hype stuff, it will really wide out your potential building on a solid base of understandin

Or when humanity becomes collectively enlightened, there will be an urge for something more real and organic to channel through the sounds and movements of sounds to connect to said “audience”. As one organism. It would be very strange to have something to guide or carry along with the crowd that just doesn’t feel the same way we do. A lot of ai will change the effects, transitions, etc making it a lot simpler for us to DJ, sure, maybe, but there will still be a living entity or human that will be present to channel that information in-along-with. Either that, or somehow the AI eventually reaches a level of intelligence that it gains sentience awareness.. consciousness. Imagine, a being moving through and creating music that not only merges and matches with the crowds energy, but also intends to carry us into certain states of consciousness in which we want. Imagine a rave we go to SPECIFICALLY for sexual pleasure, the music would be tuned to carry us there, or an event to carry us into meditation, or an event that delivers a wholesome euphoria.

If you want to get this running into a proper sound system don't use a cable direct from the controller. Plug the controller into a mixer then XLR the mixer into the PA

1980 is when I started and it's so easy enough for anybody even my grandma to be a DJ in a way kind of cool and another way we used to fight sweat and carry big ass and record crates for our money. I'm now 58 years old and I guess even the baby just needs a laptop or DDJ

I believe they're the Pioneer DJ DM-40D speakers. I have the same set up and they're pretty good. They also have a switch that enables you to swap from DJ mode to Production mode.
