PSA: For those who are thinking about getting any rodent pet, don’t get wire wheels like the one in this video. It can cause injury or death. Get a solid wheel with a solid back so no one gets hurt. These little creatures are really rewarding to earn the trust of. I’m so glad this man got to experience that

I rescued a little mouse in may 2021 his name is Bobby and he are 9 months now I love him so much and this warmed my heart❤️

My cat brought home an albino mouse. I tried to release it, but my cat brought her back the next day, without a scratch. I think my cat knew she needed help. So now she is Princess, and has a lovely little mouse habitat and is utterly spoiled. I’m pretty sure she is blind and deaf, but boy her sense of smell is powerful. She becomes animated and plays with my 2 kitties from within her safe environment, jumping around and racing a bit. So small, and packed with personality. I can honestly say, I love my brave little Princess, who withstood the jaws of a cat, twice! May she live a long little life 💕

I have two house mice I captured back in 2020.They share my bedroom with me. They watch me and I watch them. They are amazingly clean little critters and I have really enjoyed their company throughout the pandemic.

As someone who's had hamsters, I've become very attached to rodents, no matter how pesky they are. Almost all animals, even bugs, can have little personalities that make them unique and endearing. Being a Human is weird, falling in love with other animals and wanting to take care of them like our young, but in a world were Humans need more happiness I think thats a good thing.

I went through a very similar situation and I can’t began to describe the love I have for my little ones. They have so much character and personality. Everyday they make me smile so I try to do everything in the world that I can to return the happiness that they give me. You never know where you are going to find love or what kind of package life will bring it to you in.

I adopted a male mouse from a rescue who couldn’t be safely paired and it blew my mind how sweet and engaging he became with me (would groom my nose in joy when we played). It convinced me to become vegan: if one mouse could contain so much personality and appear to feel so much, no more excuses about how some animals we abuse must not experience much and are fair game for however much suffering and terror we choose to inflict. He was much more emotionally complex and intelligent than I expected and an amazing little designer and builder. Thank you, Willoughby, the other animals I’ve rescued and adopted since would feel the same if they could know how you opened my mind and made me a kinder more committed person.

I totally get it. I was at a meeting in and old church when all of a sudden this gerbil shows up and walks right up to us and sits down and looks at everyone with the look of OK who is going to take me home? He locked eyes with me and so began a love story 💕. I had him for 14 months. Every day the first thing I did in the morning was feed and water him. Every evening when I got home from work I cleaned his cage and put out more food and fresh water. It was pretty amazing because I never thought a gerbil would become my pet and with such a unique personality and capacity to interact and show affection.
