If this relationship started as she said, I'd say that the first magpie was raised by a human, or had a friendship with someone. Wild magpies don't randomly approach people, but they do trust them for food. They're incredibly intelligent.

As scary as Australian magpies can be, they are actually quite friendly, i had a similar interaction as this lady with a wild magpie, me and my older brother were playing with shells on the beach then a maggie came up to us out of nowhere and began joining in on the fun!

One reason I was feeding them and getting on, at my property before sold I had everything there. But 1 by 1 all my mates died, I got fed up and told the ex no more ,see you. Of course she came back up got her own place, and stopped drinking. But it's all over, been on my own since.

Nah, she just being nice to animal, in this case is a Magpie, and that Magpie informed about her to other Magpies. Cat do that kinda thing too. She is basically magpie lady version of cat lady.

We had a family of magpies visiting us and one of the young ones would come inside..when the weather was very hot we left a sprinkler on low and a water bowl. They stayed around it all day. They would sing wonderfully to me when I whistled to them. We moved away but I will never forget them.

@@jetsam666 She did say it was the father. Magpies are familial and one of the few animals capable of empathy. They have demonstrated the intelligence of around a 4-5 year old- which is pretty remarkable.

I think the couple of crows I feed are like that. Such clever birds , they are always watching you from the trees, they squark for breakfast on weekends .Seen bee eaters,king fishers and am planting sunflowers to get the parrots around.Part of my veggie patch is allotted pesticide free and left to run full cycle. I get lots of butterflies as well.Surprising to see what you can attract to the back yard.

I worked out that we’ve been friends with a magpie family for over 12yrs. I rescued Maggimaggi from my son’s primary school. She was that special friend. She flew off and brought back her boyfriend. All of these years later I honestly believe that the magpie family is Maggie’s descendants.

I love hearing and seeing the Magpies whenever we're visiting Australia, love hearing the warbling every morning wherever we are. Luckily we've always been staying for months at a time but ill health means we've not been for 3 years now. Seeing this story and hearing them has been wonderful, also seeing how these intelligent Corvids can be such amazing companions whilst remaining wild birds.

So happy to see how much these cheeky birds have helped you in your life. A long time ago my family did have one as a pet, but the bird was free to roam around the house and as you said , it didn’t have its wings clipped either. Kudos to you also for becoming a registered wildlife career too, the gifts that the interactions with these birds have given you is priceless. All the best to you and your feathered family 😊

All the qualities and activities like kindness, morality, modesty, piousness, charity, etc. are useless if someone rejects his Creator. The greatest sin a human can ever commit is denying his Creator. All those who get inspiration/guidance/signs/enlightenment should immediately submit to our Creator before Death. If it makes you feel any better, it seems like she might be kinda hamming it up for attention. For example: 2:40 "I don't socialize with anyone" 3:15 "My friend invited me to become..." So she goes from not socializing or having any friends to then having a friend that goes so far as to give her the opportunity to be an official wildlife carer.

There’s 4 ravens at work that visit me every day. Two are mom and kid or dad and kid I can’t tell. They nested right in front of where i work in the back. The other two live somewhere nearby and they get really close to me or flyby close and make weird noises and also bring me random trash (gifts) i feed them of course i guess that’s why the like me

Neither do I, I have no friends and no gf. My old friends are heavy drinkers and that isn't the life for me so I exist alone. I'm ok....btw I have my own pet magpie I reared from a baby, I saved him. Happy times together.

This is spellbinding amazing. 💕 I've never been any like this in my life. This woman who was alone - is no longer alone. These little magpies are "a blessing in her life." As she said, "if it wasn't for the magpies in her life, I don't know where I would be." God works in amazing ways,we have to take the time and look around us, be still, and notice the blessings that we are given when we need them the most. 💕❤🙏

@@christopherbzowski4346 Exactly. What people seem to not understand, is that these birds have a good memory thanks to their intelligence. They basically do tell stories too each other, as well as remembering who treated them kindly, and who treated them wrongly. Most Australians complain about their dive bombing, but why don't they do the same here in NZ? Perhaps the people they dive bomb mistreated them at some point? Basically the only thing I can think of, cause here in NZ, they just warble at you.

Magpies and corvids in general are very inteligent and can tell each other about stuff like that. They can remember faces and describe them to each other. So if one knows you are nice soon all the birds in the are will know what you look like and that you are nice. The sam happens if you are hostile btw. throw one rock at one bird and you get a whole flock of vengeful birds who know your face and your adress
