... me too.. I wasn't expecting that. But with dog fighting you can expect anything . They abuse them so much so that they become aggressive . Just so people can bid money on who will win ... one of the most cruel things... BUT!!!! before I cry , this video is super happy and cute!!!! It gives me so much hope! 😍

I think she simply meant that, in a dog fight, another dog bit him and slit the skin on his neck, NOT that a human had attempted to murder the dog with a knife and somehow failed to. This isn't to "defend" the horrible people who torture these animals. Just saying it is the most likely scenario.

There's big money in dog fighting and as long as the money is there people are going to do it. If people sell their own bodies for money, kill family members for insurance money, fighting dogs for money is nothing to humans... Money brings out the worse in some people.

Asking her dad to bring his dog over was such a smart move. And she didn't even hesitate to adopt another dog for Felon and actually let Felon pick. That is sign of a loving pet owner.

I did that as well. My male rott X rescue, Bo, went into a deep depression when my roommate moved out with her dog, a female who he had raised from a puppy. After 6 months of trying everything to lift his mood, I adopted a 9 mo old female apbt for him. It worked like a charm. The girl, Nala, wasn't having any of his moping when she had just found her forever home, and within days he was totally dedicated to her, as was I. They were a mated pair (without the mating, as both were altered when adopted), and completely dedicated to each other for 10 years. She passed about a year after he did, much like many long married couples. I always advocate keeping dogs in pairs or packs, because they are social animals and there are some things that a human packmate just can't give.

I'm actually considering that right now. I have a 15 year old that is at her end and our hearts are broken. Especially our 3 year old dog Bella. She spends everyday watching Beatrix. My husband and I are retired. We don't leave home much and live on 5 acres. Bella, our 3 year old, has been so patient but she really needs a sister that is also playful and fun. I would like to believe that our playing with her is enough but it's not.

That hit me hard too. Humans get stuck too from trauma. That poor baby came out of it though and so can humans. Dogs can help humans come out of trauma so looks like dogs can help other dogs come out of trauma. Dogs are so healing and amazing !! ❤

I have a dog I adopted that was abused by people and attacked by his own pack. 2 years later he is doing better but he's still kinda stuck. Yes he has made progress but because of his fears I feel like he is missing out on his best life All I can do is have patience and give him love and go at his pace. I wish the key to unlocking his happiness was as simple as another dog, I would do that in a heartbeat... I did get him an emotional support cat which is what got us this far.

@@notme2day You have to do what this lady did: she kept searching for the RIGHT dog. It's like people, we don't click with everybody, but there are certain people that can make us light up. While cats are great, sounds to me from your saying he is still kinda stuck that that cat isn't your dog's special somebody. Not many people would go to the length this lady did, she's got a genius IQ in dog care and the right devotion to match.

@@randomthoughts7776 pit bulls get a bad reputation because people label everything a pit bull. The dog in the video is not a pit bull . Pit bull don't fight for your protection. Real American pit bull terrier are game bred dogs. They're animal aggressive. The dog weren't bred to be protection dogs. Majority of old dog men would shoot the dog. If the dog showed any human aggression. They didn't want to breed that into their program.

The name pit bull wouldn't exist if it wasn't for dogfighting and the American pit bull terrier. The American Staffordshire terrier and definitely not the American bully wasn't around when that name came about. They used that name too loosely and a lot of dogs pay the price for it not just the American pit bull terrier. The media label everything a pit bull with a block head to keep a total on dog bites. That's not fair to the American pit bull terrier or other dogs as well.

Just saw the whole video. You are such a beautiful, warm, sensitive woman to take in two rescue pits. You saw them with your heart, as they did you, and that's a beautiful thing. You restored my faith in humanity...I say this crying. I am battling cancer for the 4th time, had to retire from my job as an RN after 21yrs because of it; and now I'm on disability. I'm struggling to hang on. I moved to a new place for peace and tranquility so that I could heal and breath again, but I've only been met with racism...so much racism...😢. I've been so sad and depressed, don't have family near. Its just been a struggle and I lost my will to live...til I saw your video today. It made me cry happy tears and reminded me that there are still good people in this world and if those fur babies could end up with a better life, so can I. So thank you for sharing, I really appreciate it and pray that you and the babies all have a beautiful life together..

Pits are either fighting or the smartest and gentle dog ever.We had two blue pits that were lovely to every person they met.They still guarded the house and let my 12lb maltipoo think he was the big dog.They are great.

Thank you for not giving up on your dog. He's obviously been through terrible things, but he's been saved and transformed. What a treasure you've been blessed with. My wife and I have rescued dogs for the last forty plus years. Our latest jewel is a pit boxer. As soon as Wally came home and met Magnum, our Rottweiler, they've been inseparable. We prayed for that because Magnum had just lost his best friend when Snoopy passed away. Magnum's heart was broken. He would cry and search our house and yard looking for him. Each of them have their own big bed, but they choose to sleep together on one, taking turns resting their heads on each other. I can't help it, I've taken hundreds of pictures of them loving each other... it makes me so happy to see them as close as they are.

We have a rescue dog named Eddie. He’s a German Shepherd. We think he was beat by a dark haired man with glasses because he used to growl, bark, and hide from my brother, who has dark hair and wears glasses. Slowly but surely, Eddie warmed up to my brother and now they are close friends. Eddie no longer barks or growls or hides when my brother is around. They love each other. Even though it took a while and my brother got frustrated and had his feelings hurt, my brother never gave up on him. It’s not impossible to help scared rescue dogs. They just need to know that you won’t give up on them, like the people who had them before.

I have a pit bull who was on the streets for a long time and so many people thought she'd be aggressive and dangerous. A year later she's the biggest lovebug to exist and she adores people, food, and little dogs.

Pit bulls are incredibly loyal dogs. They're protective of their families and that's unfortunately taken as aggressiveness towards everything, but if properly trained they're so sweet and loving :)

It’s amazing how dogs can mentor one another to trust again. Individuals who find dog fighting and the pain endured during training and fights as entertainment are cruel and despicable human beings. Thank you for your kindness and patience as he began to trust again. Seeing his fear, and wondering what he’s all been through, brought me to tears. May you be blessed and I wish all 3 of you years of happiness together.

I consider people who fight dogs as simply 😈. The only thing on a par with that is the Big Lick and cock fighting. I recently heard about horse fighting although I can't remember where. They put 2 stallions in an arena with a mare nearby and let them fight over her

Absolutely cannot stand ppl that hurt dogs like this…. Those types of ppl aren’t needed here. They should be in jail or they should be put down. No hope for those types of ppl. So happy he got the love and life he deserves
