Here's a quick reference guide. Should make sense once you've seen the video. Gimbal start angle / left stick / right stick / gimbal movement 45° ⬅️➡️⬜ orbit anticlockwise (➡️⬅️⬜ anticlockwise) 60° ⬆️⬆️▶️ fly up reveal 90° ➡️⬜⬜ top down twist 0° ⬆️⬆️(◀️) background reveal 10° ⬆️⬜⬜ rise up 90° ⬇️⬜▶️ drop down tilt 45° ⬜➡️⬜ fake slider 10° ⬜⬆️⬜ low & slow 30° ⬇️⬆️⬜ push forward descend 45° ➡️↖️⬜ push orbit

Here's a summary of all the moves in this video: Orbit - Center subject - Left stick: ←, Right stick: → - Left stick: →, Right stick: ← Fly Up Reveal - Left stick: ↑, Right stick:↑ - Gimbal: slowly tilt up Top Down Twist - Gimbal: Straight Down - Left Stick: ←or→ Background reveal - Drone low to ground in front of subject - Both sticks:↑↑ - As you fly over the subject move the gimbal down to reveal the background Rise Up - Start low to ground - Left stick: ↑ Drop Down Tilt - Start gimbal straight down - Left Stick: ↓ - Raise gimbal towards horizon Fake Slider - Point straight at subject - Right stick: ←or→ Low and Slow - Low to ground as possible - Fly forward: right stick: ↑ Push Forward Descend - Shows location then comes closer to subject - Right stick: ↑ - Left stick: ↓ Push orbit - Orbit while going forward - Left stick: →, right stick: ↖

Brilliant moves.. I have tried most of them.. the last one move forward with rotating /circle takes some time to get a perfect circle.. but practice and practice is the key.. Thanks

I had a mini 2 drone. I sold it and intended on buying something with more options. While I debated on what to buy, I realized I really don’t need anything more than a mini 2 for what I use it for. Now I have another mini 2. Thank you for the videos you make. They help so much !

So I just bought a DJI mini 2 and I absolutely love it. It’s the best part of my day. But I’ve only owned it for 3 days and I was under the impression that mini 2s don’t have the ability to circle a subject on its own? I thought that was only mini 3s?

Thanks a lot matthew. Your videos are all amazing and informative. I learned a lot about my drone from just watching your videos and others on youtube. Really appreciate what you do. I believe i have a full understanding of the drone features and settings now however, I’ve been struggling with editing both video and photo, specifically color grading them and i was hoping whenever you get a chance to see if you can make an in depth video about colorgrading for photo and video. I live in Hawaii so i mostly film landscape shots.

Nice video: one suggestion: handling the bird in your hand, obstacle avoidance off, and ready to fly (blades running), you start filming at 4-6 inches behind a bush, then you back up whilst lifting the drone slowly. Then,in post, you can use this stunning image forward or backward. Nice way to start a film,no?

Great video! I just bought my mini 3 a month ago n im still trying to learn how to fly my drone n your tutorials are very educational. Being near a local airplrt im somewhat restricted in flying my drone at my home n i just realized the many laws n regulations that i have to be aware of.

Thanks man. For move 6 (rise up). I think it was not mentioned but: I noticed that the gamble should slowly be moved downward as aircraft is rising up in the air. Also, I counted 11 moves. Not sure if it is me but who wouldn't love a bonus move? 🙂 Again thanks 😃

Thanks Mattheww that was very useful and I will try these out on the next flight. Just one note of caution for those starting out, I think maybe you should stress that the remote is in the default Mode 2 setting otherwise the sticks will have different functions if Mode 1 or 3 has been selected.

And a thing that stuck out to me is that that’s real close to having the sticks in the prop start/stop placement isn’t it? Got a new drone not yet flown was worried about holding in the off position while flying and this is close

Really good video so thank you very much for it! So far I was learning on my own in SE Asia (I bought my DJI mini 2 SE on airport flying out to Bangkok) so I can tell some moves I got on my own. But if I saw your tips before it would go much smoother and faster. Even though it was cool to alteast confirm that I was going in the right direction :3
