To be fair, there were always two series that I had a hard time remembering which franchise they belonged to: Spider-Man (before Tom Holland and Avengers) and X-Men. They used to stand on their own in my childhood, so they wouldn't make any connections to their franchise in their movies and shows outside of some references. It's easier now because of the constant crossovers. I remember X-Men's franchise because of Deadpool and Spider-Man's franchise because of the Avengers.

LOL Old Man Logan is an alternate universe set in the future. The movie Logan is inspired by this version of Logan. It's not a fan animation, it's a web series Marvel did called TLDR where they recap certain story arcs in comical fashion. The whole Pre-Crisis/Post-Crisis thing is a referring to an 1980s event called Crisis of Infinite Earths that ended with the mulitverse blowing up all over the place. It basically "rebooted" the comics and one of the 1st things they did is heavily nerfed Superman. Death Battle has referenced in the past Supes sneezed out entire solar systems. Jocelyn has a spinoff of mentioning the weird and obscured stuff of our favorite franchises and mentions Superman's bizarre forgotten powers from his pre-crisis days.

Like most Marvel vs DC Death Battles, I go expecting very little which helps when they make the episode really good like this one. Of course, in usual Marvel vs DC characters, they have insane feats and tons of comic book lore that I frankly don't give a shit about besides saying "Cool, sounds right." As for the fight itself, I really enjoyed almost everything about it, the narrative implications, how the battlefield kept changing, along with that beautiful finisher of Raven blowing out Phoenix's ember Leading up to this match, the vast majority thought Pheonix would stomp Raven, but when they scale her up to Trigon, let alone Superman-level feats, it was pretty clear Raven was likely gonna win. But hey, I knew next to nothing about Phoenix and grew up with the OG Teen Titans so I'm more than happy with this outcome As for Guts vs Dimitri, the interesting first choice of a Fire Emblem character in Death Battle, but I'm down for it. Just like this battle, people are doubting Dimitri in that Guts is gonna massacre him, but even though I haven't played Three Houses yet... Fire Emblem can have crazy scaling. So it pretty much all depends on how they scale Dimitri to whatever big things happen in FETH. But all in all, I look forward to it, and I hope for a brutal kill with this matchup. Long overdue for one since the majority this season has just been blowing them up or completely erasing them from existence

I was torn on this one since I love X-Men. Sincerely my favorite Marvel team growing up. Ironically I never heard of the Avengers growing up which was weird since several X-Men were part of the Avengers, in fact Deadpool was an X-Man at some point. On the other hand Raven is one my favorite DC characters. Also the Teen Titans group you’re familiar with was the second group after they disbanded, not the first, hence being the founder of the *New* Teen Titans. Mostly because the Justice League didn’t trust her because of her demon powers.

I wouldn't compare the Mass Effect franchise as a whole to Marvel's Phoenix as a character. There might be some parallels, but in different scenarios. If you ever want to mood, I'd love to see you play Mass Effect. It's my favorite game franchise. It does have a relationship mechanic for multiple characters: If you go through a romance fully... things happen in a cinematic. It's a bit tasteful (some people are in their underwear, and some has side-booty showing) but I don't think it meets YT standards. I definitely don't think the romances in Andromeda would work on YT (the double standard of toplessness of Male or Female characters).

Yes, "Unkindness" is what a Group of Ravens is called, It's worth noting in the Teen Titans vs Teen Titans Go Movie, that Raven became a form called "the Unkindness" by consuming and absorbing multiple Ravens across the multiverse, which I hear predates the Unkindness they mentioned here

The thing they failed to take into account is that there was an official Marvel/DC crossover where Phoenix whooped the asses of the entire Justice League, including pre-crisis Superman. It took Raven *and* Xavier together blasting all of the X-Men's memories and love for Jean into the Phoenix to finally stop her. Phoenix is most commonly only stopped because Jean fights back so as not to hurt the people she loves. It's possible that enough has changed since then to make their outcome the most likely one, but Idk, I personally still have to give it to Phoenix.

You do realize that death battle actually already happened back in 1980s but it wasn't just raven it was all the titans and x-men vs Jean Grey and they all lost to her. It wasn't until until raven and professor x use their combined power to remind Jean of the love she had for Scott and the rest of the x-men that she came to her senses and then took out Darkseid. Both marvel and dc were on board saying that Jean was the more powerful of the two and these are the people that actually own these two coming together saying Jean is the more powerful. With that being said I do enjoy when you do these death battles but if the battle already took place in the comics then if it was me I would not do them
