Would it have been a little more balanced with a life point cost as well? Like if you call it right you take 1000 life points for every drawn card. Of course still insanely broken in the modern era where people love to mill, but I'm talking about the early days. Depending on where the game is at that could render it a dead card, or not allow you to just choose 5 and 6 every time. A few attacks or using a Solemn card would put you out of range of choosing the highest numbers, which would make it less efficient.

How about D.D. And D/D monsters, since they come from the same dimension, only the D/Ds are controlled by the Different Dimension Demons.

Floodgate = A continuous effect most often seen on Continuious Trap Cards and/or Monster Cards that say "Your opponent cant do X" or something to that effect. Float = When a monster dies it does X. Most often being able to Special Summon another monster to replace itself. In terms of YGO, draw cards and one card starters tend to be much more powerful bc theres no mana in YGO. So card advantage is the go to.

Semi Limited is Malicious's Home. Sometimes a friend that was banned or limited pass by to say hello and drink a cup of tea for one or two formats before going free.

@@isaiasjunior3535 Malicious is probably the only card that'll stay there. It would be too good to go to 3 at this point. At least without a hard or soft once per turn attached to it and especially since more Extra Deck cards exist and more and more are coming out and it's very easy to proc it. I'm amazed at how shallow the Semi-Limited list has become over the years though. Not much really gets affected by being Semi-Limited.

Independent Nightingale is basically responsible for monsters never having an effect to copy effects of monsters in the Graveyard, so I'd expect to see some of those monsters on the list.

That's because the games are based more on the OCG card pool and were localized for world-wide release with that card pool.

I've seen cards with effects like "Draw 5 cards" in the Pokemon card game and thought before how hilariously broken they would be in Yu-Gi-Oh. EDIT: Looked up some specific examples of Pokemon cards that would be utterly broken in Yu-Gi-Oh. "Bill's Maintence": Shuffle 1 card from your Hand into the Deck, then draw 3 cards. "Hau", "Cheren", "Tierno" and "Looker": Draw 3 cards. "Cynthia" and "Professor Oak's New Theory": Shuffle your entire Hand (any number of cards) into your Deck, then Draw 6 cards. "Professor Sycamore": Discard your entire Hand (any number of cards), then draw 7 cards. Drawing 5 or 6 was still better than milling 5 or 6 in dragon rulers. Outside of lightsworn, I can't think of a deck where milling 6 would be better than drawing 6. Not even orcust and salad would want that.

@@timothykrzywonski When I played with Ultimate Offering, I never even thought about card advantage. I just thought "Ew this card looks disgusting" and didn't use it lmao. Cause I was like, pretty much still a fetus or smth.

The issue was if your opponent responded with a board wipe, it was difficult to come back from. You can easily spam like, 3-4 1900 beaters but the game would be immediately over if they had Mirror Force or could stall a turn and whip out Dark Hole. Gradually building the board wouldn’t be punished as hard. That said, opponents very much didn’t always have a response so yeah, Offering was always a good card.

I think this is basically Turn Skip cards like: Neko Mane King Probably best to bait the opponent into triggering it, but the idea of straight up skipping the entirety of your opponent's turn with cards like Dark Deal is enticing. Arcana Force XXI The World Having to work around the coin flip and reliably getting 2 tributes. I mean, not a traditionally weak card at all really - just a bit unwieldy. Pharaoh's Judgement Normal Trap support is making this card gradually more consistent - will likely never reach Utopic ZEXAL levels of viability, but still notable.

No it doesn’t. Magic Cylinder deals damage when an opponent attacks and they take damage equal to the attacking monster’s attack points. Pot Of Greed lets you draw two cards from your deck.

Hard once per turn would probably make it fine. You or your opponent would be forced to play through 1 Special Summon negate so it would be a bit more fair but could still be enough to win you the game so IDK.

Maybe tag on "This card can only be activated during your turn before you summon any monsters", in addition to some of Duel Log's and/or your suggestions.

Except there's enough ways of using it to your advantage. Normal summon Vanities after your opponent attempted to break your board (DRNM/Droplet). True Draco and Monarchs would probably like it too. Maybe summon D Hero plasma during your opponents turn. Summoning Amano-Iwato every turn (it's searchable with a generic r4nk). Zombie world decks literally just tribute summoning your board (see Vampire Sucker less known effect). Or Sphere mode during your opponents. So no, it probably can't come back without an errata.

@@RNGHater Which would require you to play a Combo Deck with Vanities AND Ultimate Offering, opening both (which are bricks) and then still making full combo. That is both incredibly unlikely and pretty weak. Let's take Drytron; they are already making Vanity's Ruler, but they set it up during their own turn and they wouldn't exactly profit from being able to do it during their opponent's turn. They'd rather have more fairies in their hand to use with e.g. Herald of Perfection. True Draco and Monarchs are too bricky, slow and weak, if this card gives them a buff (which is unlikely because it exacerbates their weaknesses), sure, whatever, they probably still won't be played. There is no advantage in summoning Plasma during the opponent's turn if it requires you to play a brick in the form of this trap. You'd rather wanna summon it during your own turn. Amano Iwato is a weird gimmick, nothing more than that. If it requires you to go into a rank 4 to search it, that is a pretty high investment which could be used to summon something more useful, especially considering hitting over 1900 Atk is not too difficult, even if you cannot activate Monster Effects. Hell, literally every Drytron can hit over it. Mystic Mine is allowed at 3 and you complain about a monster that is (almost) strictly worse? There is a different combo in the game that sees little to no play with a similar effect: Hieratic Seal of Heavenly Spheres into either Amorphage Goliath or Koaki Meiru Dragon. You just need a Link 2 and you get a Bounce and either an Extra Deck Lock or a lock on special summons of Light and Dark monsters, so less investment with similar payoff, and it sees little to no play. The Vampire Sucker "abuse" requires you to have at least 1 Zombie in hand that needs to be tribute summoned, which is again pretty bricky in a deck that already struggles with being bricky and weak against handtraps AND weak against spell and trap removal, which would also work against Ultimate Offering. Again, sphere mode is a brick. Needing to open two unsearchable bricks for such a payoff is usually simply not worth it. It makes for funny Table 500 plays, though.

Imagine if they make support for those. archetypes, then we might have a problem. Edit: also, makyura is no longer banned so, even with errata, there's potential to use it on your own turn.
