I am new to Dungeon Synth but I feel like i finally found music genre I was looking for very long time

Dungeon Synth it calms me down and gives me energy at the same time. Transports you to distant places full of fantastic landscapes, dreamy castles, creatures and feelings of well-being.

listening to this while drinking some homebrew Cider and playing Old School Runescape. Ah man, I feel incredible, beyond words. This kind of music really brings you to a special place.

Back in the mid 90s, there were a handful of black metal musicians that had side projects in which they played what was known as "ambient" music, the term dungeon synth is quite new to me, but it definitely makes sense! Great stuff!

How is it possible that I, who loves minstrel music, medieval things, RPGs, retro fantasy, Dungeon and Dragons, LOTR, fantasy in general, swords, barbarians, Kane, Conan and Cthulhu that I missed this AWESOME DUNGEON SYNTH THING?!

This is absolutely one of the best dungeon synth albums of all time

Music to wander the hall of memories laid to waste.

That castle-alkazar is right next to where I used to live in Spain. While walking inside those towers this is the exact kind of music I imagined. Interesting and creepy fact in this castle there is a big room and on the wall there are some persons painted, but their eyes are not white but totally dark, very alien like it's awesome!

I love the first track of this album. It just presses all the right buttons for me. I've fallen in love with dungeon synth over the last couple of years, because aside from the obvious talent and the musical landscapes and mystical realms it paints, it's a callback to a more innocent time. A time when people didn't make music for the money or copyright their band names or intellectual properties, but when people made music for the love of music, for the love of the things that inspired them, and wrote music from the heart, not sticking to tried and tested formulas. The fact it's also revitalized cassette tapes is a big factor too I think.

I'm still awestruck by how fantastic the first two minutes of the first track are. Truly lives up to its name.

It remembers me of "Burzum - Dauði Baldrs" Great music

Makes me want to play D&D, MTG and Warhammer all night long.

So majestic. Perfect for enjoying everlasting loneliness.

I cannot count how many times the Alcazar of Segovia has been used in covers. Black metal, heavy metal, atmospheric, neofolk... you got them all

Let me tell you, this is one of the best dungeon synth albums ever.

Love the minimalism of this album. Nothing extra or unnecessary. But what is there works so well to establish the scene and feeling.

I have this weird fixation about making a fantasy movie, with all the 80's and 90's particularities, synth soundtrack, pratical vfx, film cameras, downgraded audio quality, dull big strong male main character. But with the best writing we could have nowdays and a big budget. People really dedicated to make the inpaintings as impressive as it could be, the pratical vfx creatures. The fog on miniatures. I would love it immensly. Maybe, If I get to be one of the luckiestpeople on earth, I could work in the vfx department. That would be lovely

Beautiful soundscapes! Top notch album! I mostly listen to music to drift off into another dimension, or another place in time and space, anything to get me out of reality. Finally listening to Dungeon Synth albums blew me away, its more than capable of all that. Imagination is far better than reality, at least for me and my anxiety. Thank you Old Sorcery for making epic music. Thank you DSA for being an archive of beauty.

One of the best Dungeon Synth albums. I've been listening to this since last spring when it was still snowing heavily. I used to walk in the small woods we have here and just be in another place.

This is great, really classic style. Reminds me of Soporific Sorcery, especially with that thin organ sort of sound that starts around 7:50.

One of the best ones on this channel! I can't get enough out of the music on this channel. Dark, somber music is so good for you. It doesn't depress me, it actually makes me feel alive and elevated! Ethereal music, chthonic music, music of the spheres! Music composed in the style of what William Blake called "the infernal method"!

i love exploring this channel so much, i knew early mortiis and a few others for over 20 years, but had no idea the genre has become so big by now, until i accidentally bumped into this place while actually digging up the old mortiis' albums after a pretty long break ofc not everything is equally good, but there are true gems, this, thangorodrim and malfet are my biggest favourites so far, i hope i discover more :)

this is the first Dungeon Synth Archives mp3 I heard a couple years ago. It is still one of the best. Old Sorcery has more albums that are also great.

Really enjoying my new discovery of dungeon synth music. For many years I’ve enjoyed soundtracks from video games like Might and Magic 6, 7 and 8. I scoffed unwisely at first, but this genre holds some of the classiest tunes I’ve ever heard. Works like this, I place alongside Bladerunner themes for their ability to inspire. This is how Mike Oldfield would sound if he was goth. :)

I love this album. Is the first of DS I've listen, so is the one that introduced me in this wonderful genre. And today I've just ordered in digipack due I missed the tapes, but it's ok for me. Hope this artist will release some new material apart the split with Haxan Dreams.
