Enjoy my virtual Hike and nice scenery @ Hoh Rain Forest Olympic National Park Washington
watch on 4K Tv for best quality
With an annual rainfall ranging from 140 to 170 inches, the Hoh Rain Forest is a lush, green wonderland, with mosses and ferns covering every tree and surface. According to the NPS, it is one of the finest remaining examples of temperate rainforest in the United States and is one of the park's most popular spots to visit. One visitor described walking in the forest as a "Hansel and Gretel-type of feeling" while another likened it to a fairy tale enchanted forest.
Most travelers begin at the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, which is staffed with rangers who can offer advice on what to see and do. The visitor center also houses exhibits and a bookstore. Two short nature trails loop through the forest near the center, the Hall of Mosses Trail (.8 miles) and the Spruce Nature Trail (1.2 miles). If you're up to the challenge, there is also a 17-mile trail that leads to Glacier Meadows, on the shoulder of Mount Olympus, called the Hoh River Trail.
The Hoh sits on the west side of Olympic National Park, about a two-hour drive from Port Angeles and less than an hour from Forks, Washington. It can be accessed via Upper Hoh Road, off of Highway 101. The visitor center, which is free to access, is open daily during the summer, generally open Friday through Sunday in the spring and fall (hours may vary) and closed December through early March.

Definitely without music. If somebody likes to hear music (I can't understand why...), they can choice and play there favorite song while they watch or workout. So without music or talking there is no disadvantage for those wo prefer the fantastic Naturesounds or quitness to completly enjoy such great Virtual hikes like yours. But in some cases music is OK, for example your Gretor Lake vid, because you just showed selected scenes it feeled not like a hike, but the great views you managed to show us, makes up greatly for that. I am into those virtual hikes since some months and it is so hard to find such great masterpieces like yours. Until now I like especially your and "TallSky" fanstastic works. "Follow Matty" and "Roam With Me", at least the hike vids are good, too. I can't watch those vids, where they showing almost the whole time there faces in the video or talking your ear off. And I hope you having fun to do these vids, so that we can expect more brilliant works from you. By the way I liked the Redwood vid very much, the light is perfect, a little better than the Silver Falls vid, but I guess that's because the cloudy weather on that day, that the Falls vid was a little more dark.

Thank you so much for this. 55 years ago when my husband and I got married we had a 6 month honeymoon in a forest service cabin in the rainforest about 10 miles from the park entrance on the Hoh River. It started snowing the day we got there and we had snow every day for several weeks. My husband had to cut his way out every day to go to work. I stayed home and baked pies and things in the wood stove. We had no electricity. We loved those months and would do it again. Memories..... You did a beautiful job recording this. Thank you.

@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K I just watched your video of New York City. I live only about a 3 hour drive from there in Massachusetts- so I've gone to New York many times and always like it. I think your video of the city was very good and I just gave a link to it to dozens of people. The video shows the tremendous energy of the city and the great diversity of people from all over the planet. Next time you go there- be sure to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in case you missed it.

My favorite place on earth. I hiked up to Glacier Meadows many years ago. It was in early October just before the trail would be closed for the winter. I had the forest to myself as I only briefly encountered a handful of other folks. So many animals of all sorts. It hardly rained at all. My mind became very, very quiet. One of the best experiences of my life.

That just a jaunt around the vistor area and surrounding campsites. Only wildlife you hear are the birds . Everything else has been driven away into the back country. Used to be so much better before they built the 4 lane blacktop leading into the hoh river and adding 900 campsites in the 90s . Take a 15 mile hike on the mount Olympus trail it's a gradual incline and relatively easy for novices.

The team behind the 1999 series Walking with Dinosaurs used this set to depict the Jurassic period, because the fact that the entire forest is covered with ferns resembles the environment of that period, or at least that within the understanding of paleontology at the time.
