Zugstpitze , At 2,962m , the Zugspitze is Germany's highest mountain . This peak is located in the Wetterstein Mountains of the northern limestone Alps. The border between Austria (Tyrol) and Germany (Bavaria) runs between the western and eastern peaks. The "golden" cross at the top of the mountain is the goal of numerous mountaineers and day trippers. In any case, you must have a firm footing and you must not suffer from fear of heights if you want to reach the top.

I was here in June with some family. This was a dream come true for me, because I had wanted to go to Europe since I was young. I remember Rick Steves did a couple episodes atop the Zugspitze. When we got to the top, I cried a little because it was so beautiful, and I thought of Rick Steves. I cried a number of times on the trip just because I was so happy to live this dream of going to Europe

Im Sommer 2022 - eine Woche bevor ich zum Königssee fuhr - war ich am Eibsee und auf der Zugspitze. Wunderschöner Ort mit überwältigendem Ausblick auf den Eibsee und Garmisch. Auf der Zugspitze und am Eibsee muss man mindestens einmal in seinem Leben gewesen sein. Es ist sooo schön, der Wahnsinn, aber verdammt teuer. Ich bezahle gerne mehr, wenn ich etwas Unvergessliches erleben darf, schließlich will ich ja LEBEN.

Thank you. With my height [I had trouble scrambling over the rocks on the Appalachian Trail in SW Virginia] and now my age and limited mobility, the only way I can see these high and/or steep areas is with your videos. So thank you again.

Hey Serge ! my plan was to climb that rock but it was very busy with people going up ;) my plan was to shoot a thumbnail from that rock i had a great overview over Zugspitze building , yes i love hotdogs they are the best in germany i always eat them at Oktoberfest party over here ;) have a great weekend mark,

Take a RB6 train from München Hbf to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and change there to the Zugspitzbahn train to Eibsee station (this is the lower station of the cable car) or directly to Zugspitzplatz station which is almost at the top of Zugspitze. It will take ca. 2 hours. And do not forget to walk around Eibsee, it is awesome. Greetings from Moscow!
