These boys (the easybeats) are better than the Beatles they might not have lasted long in England yet they endure there a true rock n roll band who have had a lasting influence on modern music

I have to agree with you. He was the Best front man ever❤❤❤❤ Should have been given a chance to be introduced to the USA. They would have been as famous as the Beatles. ❤❤❤

@@johnbrennan3779 I never got the opportunity to meet any of the Easybeats when they were performing 🎭 I just heard the song called. Friday on my mind. That was the only one that was played on the radio back in the 60s. Looked it up on Google and found out about them . Found out about what happened to stevie and I'm sorry 😔😔 that I have. I feel very sad that he had to go through all that he was put through in his life

The more you listen to this, the greater the appreciation for the genius of Vanda & Young.

This was written by Young and Stevie Wright, though

Yes let's not forget to mention that Stevie wright was the one that was writing songs with George before harry Vanda wrote any. I think that if Stevie had not stepped aside their would be no AC DC. Because there would have been no Vanda and young to be doing there writing for them. Or to be producing them.

The best band to ever come out of Australia. Under-appreciated by the rest of the world, but hopefully that is changing. They were the most original band in the world, in terms of song writing, thru the 60's. Maybe they still are. Stevie Wright is the best front man this country has produced, and we've had some great ones. Maybe Mick Jagger was better but it would be a photo finish.

Um... "They were the most original band in the world, in terms of song writing, thru the 60's. Maybe they still are." You're very clearly delusional, and no, they were NOT the most original song writing band in the world thru the 60's... THAT distinction goes to The Beatles... I guess you just never heard of The Beatles... right? That's the only thing that could explain your comment.
@wellsy19542 жыл бұрын
@@kewlbreez77 Mate-I am 72 and I still love The Beatles. I am not delusional. Before The Easys left Australia they released 50 songs, all of which were original compositions by band members-mainly George Young and Stevie Wright. They released 3 albums-all original. It took The Beatles 3 albums to record a completely original album. The Easys kept on releasing original material while in the U.K. It was only towards the end that they released a few covers. Credit where credit is due please. By the way, The Bee Gees should be recognized as the second most original band. They were "persuaded" to release a non-original single while chasing the elusive hit in Australia. Everything else was original.

@@wellsy1954 Hi Steve, thanks for the data; I never knew much about them till a few yrs ago, remember listening to their only one big hit (on US or UK charts) Friday On My Mind, in my youth. Now, regarding "original songs", to quote Wikipedia: "The Beatles were an English rock band from Liverpool who recorded hundreds of songs during their career. The group's "main catalogue" - songs released between 1962 and 1970 -consists of 213 songs (four of which exist in different versions): 188 originals and 25 covers." 188 originals. So, simple math: 188-50=133. Nuff said; there's literally NO comparison when it comes to song writing, between the Beatles and probably any group in the history of R&R. Now, it should be noted that the Grateful Dead recorded 184 original tunes, according to one source.

I'm pretty sure that this song was written by Stevie Wright and george young 😂😂😂❤ this song was before Vanda started to write anything. Stevie had not stopped writing songs yet. It is a very sad thing that he did. Now he is forgotten about as the group's Frist writing partner of geror ge young 😢😢😢 the band should have been given the name Stevie wright and the Easybeats🎉🎉🎉 Since it was Him that the girls were mailing them selves to 😂😂😂 And he was the Cutest one of the Easybeats, besides Gordon😂😂b Snowy Fleet . They both don't get any rescept or the things that they done 😢😢 Snowy was as good of drummer maybe even better than Ringo Starr. And Stevie Wright's Dancing and his arobic jump's and leaps is what made the group famous . Just getting so sick of hearing about vanda and young and the fact that they were able to walk on water as far as there music 🎵 went 😢😢😢😢😢 They were Nothing Without Stevie wright 😢😢😢😢
