Great reaction mate. The policeman at the end of the episode was man named David Goodall and a close friend, he sadly passed away last week, he’s in a few more episodes of still game to come and was a very big director and stunt coordinator in the Scottish film industry. Seeing him in this episode brought a tear to my eye.

Just love this. The actor playing the doctor dealing with Winston's leg in this epsiode and the previous one appears again in seasons 8 and 9 as a creepy undertaker 😂😂

Oh jeez. I lived in the West of Scotland for 21 years. Faslane, Helensburgh, Dumbarton, Rutherglen, Brig'ton Glasgow. This would have been me if I hadn't bugged out in 95. I know of all these schemes (projects) of desolation. If you get broke into, go to the Barra's to get your tv back. And yet, Glasgow humour is the most profound you will ever experience. I saw Billy at the Apollo in 76. His banana boots are in the Peoples Palace museum. There is a place, just round the corner from the Barra's on the London road that does free meals. Veggie stew. But very very good. My daughter and grandkids ate there occasionally. When I joined them, very long story, the people there were surprised when I stuck 20 in their tin. (I'm still paying for my mistakes). While waiting for them across the road in my car, I was asked if I was looking for business. I felt quite sad. If I could have paid for her to take the night off I would. But, I remembered a Big Issue seller. Sell it while it's going. Life at the pointy end.

2 Decembers back, my work (council run aged care provider) put on a Christmas morning tea. Usual award giving and speeches. Something said triggered a recall of a Still Game scene, and I was off and away. I'd only started watching them on Netflix earlier that year and hadn't left the honeymoon stage (still haven't). Then my name penetrated. I was being called to the mic to get my ten years award and certificate. Yikes! What this show does to you, Alan. (I had just completed ELEVEN years with the council, but the $100 gift card was nice). Stay well.

Just came across your channel and so glad you found Still Game. Its a total difference to the norm, which is usually young people in a sitcom. No-one else (apart from the golden girls) has done a modern day equivalent. Old people thinking they are younger than they are. A lot of the stories are bittersweet in Still Game, but it makes each of the characters wonderful. Gotta say Winston is one of my Faves. And Navid and Mina. Fun fact you never see Minas face, and she always, ALWAYS put Navid in his place. She's like a little ninja! Fun fact, Jack and Victor originally started as characters in Chewin the Fat. You need to watch their drinking songs in the pub. Classics such as "Fatties on the Shelf", "My mate Joe the Burglar" and my favourite "His Majesty's Home for the Blind". Absolute brilliance.

In these times of language being moderated and the Woke PC culture unfolding it would be hard to make this type of comedy anymore at least without watering it down a lot. I can just imagine the casting process and them wanting a bigger breasted actress for the part of the black widow cause geez shucks and help me Boab, that's the character she would be playing after all (Yeah, I said actress and not actor!) and a picket line of smaller breasted females demanding equal breast consideration and shouting about discrimination and sexism.Not all things are created equal and that includes sense of humour and intelligence and most of all common sense. Yeah, I spelt humour the correct way cause I am Scottish. You should be glad I type in English and not the barely comprehensible slang I usual talk in!
