Happy birthday, E.G. Marshall (born June 18, 1914.). It's also the birthday of Paul McCartney (born June 18, 1942). Paul has always been my favorite Beatle.

Hi Gemi ! A belated birthday wish for E.G.! I’m glad that E.G. had the hosting of the show ! My favourite Beatle was Paul, as well - along with millions of girls ! Later, I came to like John Lennon. Oh well…. Hope you’re surviving whatever weather you have there. I realize there are so many worse off in other places around the world. We’ve not done much physically these past few days, just taking some time to read. Each of us has a few new books to read, and finally some time to do it in. Roger reads very quickly, whereas I like to take things in a bit. Take care, my good friend - hugs to you and Smokey ! 😺❤

06-18-24 Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada, 43* N. Very hot today, made it to 98* today, currently 85*. Very warm and humid. Probably not much different than what most other folks have had to put up with. Cold sandwiches and salads these past few days. Lots of time for reading, though. I’ve three new books, so I’m anxious to get to them. I’ve been making cold lemon-lime/ade - equal amounts of lemons and limes - very refreshing! Very Interesting story tonight - very well done, and I like Norman Rose’s voice. I like the fact that they produced many types of stories to listen to. I still remember listening to my first transistor radio my father gave me for a birthday. I shared a bedroom with two younger brothers and two younger sisters. The boys had bunk beds, and I and my two sisters all slept in a double bed. I’d put my small radio under my pillow and listen to it . There wasn’t much to choose from then, mostly music. Hope everyone sleeps well, tonight, no matter the temperature, and hope all have pleasant dreams. Thank you very much, Sir Edge, for continuing to supply these always interesting and entertaining stories ! I look forward to these very much! 🙏❤🫠🇨🇦

@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc Hi Gemi, Yes, believe it or not! I also have a half-brother. My father had been married to my mother’s older sister, and they had a son born Feb. ‘41. She died. My father then married my mother and I was born July ‘50. He is 83. My second sister, born ‘51(on Sept 11 th, of all things), next sister, born Aug, ‘53, My first brother, born May, ‘’57, next brother, born Sept ‘59, next one born ‘62, and last brother born Sept, 64. My father was 13 years older than my mother, but I never knew knew a happier couple! When I left home at 18, they still acted like newlyweds - they were very sweet. As I’m writing this, a huge storm has just started, out of nowhere, it seems. Buckets of rain and loud noises, but no lightning! Hope you are well where you are. The heat has both of us down a bit, but we do take a rest when we need to. Do you have any siblings?

I have a younger sister born March '75 and I was born May'71. I haven't talked to her in over a year because she borrowed some money and never paid it back. I have an older cousin, who lives in Santa Rosa, California. Other than that, the rest of our family had passed away. There has been a lot of cancer deaths in my family. I'm glad that your family is still with you . Right now, Smokey 😺 is my family. I hope you'll be listening to tonight's story. Take care, my friend ❤️😊
