I have the Mini since launch day and I absolutely love it. I’d be pissed if Apple discontinued the Mini series at any time in the future. I always hated huge smartphones

Hey man, I’m a mini user here. Everything was great until the other day I was trying to shoot a video of candles on a birthday cake in complete dark. And i got this completely annoying reflection from the candles. But then I switched to wide angle lens and it was okay. Does it happen to yours too?

I have the iPhone 12 mini (came from the iPhone 7), and it is the PERFECT phone for me! I didn’t need or even want a big phone so the iPhone 12 mini with it’s inexpensive price and small size was a no-brainer for me!

@@saikoro8620 It's okay. It really depends on your screen time and use. I always enable battery saving mode, turn on dark mode and set my brightness to low.

@@naeg2001 so I have ended my day having to charge the mini around 8pm I get up around 5am so it’s not bad at all honestly. Some days I go harder on watching videos so I could imagine those days I’ll have to charge earlier for the mini. The max I can go to bed with like 30 percent left on real heavy screen time days so there is a big difference in battery. Really depends how heavy of a user you are.

I think I agree with you on being my favorite iPhone as well. I love the size and the fact that the screen is less than an inch smaller than the standard iPhone screen. My biggest concern was about the battery capacity. All the reviews were talking about how you might not get a whole day out of it. For me, as long as I can go the whole day I don’t mind charging every night. My real world usage actually goes about as long as an Apple Watch 5 with always-on display (about a day and a half to sometimes even 2 days.) One reason why I can get that is that when I’m home I grab my iPad Air 4 for nearly everything, so, I rarely use my phone enough to kill the battery. My thoughts on the sales being so low is that it’s most likely due to the staggered release schedule. I think that if they’d released all four 12 models at the same time then the Mini would have sold better overall. I do believe there is a bigger market for smaller phones than people are assuming. If they put out a 13 Mini then I think we’ll see it get the better sales.

It’s been 1 week that I’m using the mini and absolutely fell in love ❤️ Ialso adore the small phones and it’s so much easier for a medium/ light user like me. Every time that I’ve the tiniest regret about buying a mini(just because of the battery life really) instead of the regular 12 I just watch your iPhone 12 mini worship videos-yeah , worship there I said it- I felt amazing man. Thank you 🙏 For those who think about buying one, just don’t mind the battery thing because this device charges like crazy fast. I cannot believe me eyes when I first charged it but it’s the real deal guys

I've always felt like the mini is TOO small, but after watching this video and thinking about some of the points you bring up I've actually started to feel like this is the way to go, this channel is quickly becoming my favorite tech channel !

Update: I’ve actually decided to buy the mini, I’ve been using it for about a month (I bought it a few days after the main comment) and I completely love it, it’s refreshing to have a phone I can use without hand gymnastics and the screen feels natural after a couple days of use it looked like a big phone, obviously if you have someone with the bigger iPhones you notice the difference, but never while using it, it’s more than enough for me, and I couldn’t be happier!

Coming from iphone 6s plus (or is it just 6 plus?) But I'm gonna get the iPhone 12 mini sometime this or next week. I love the small size and have been binging reviews before buying it to see if I really want it and it really seems like q great phone for people like me who love the mobility with the functionality and practicality I hope Apple continues the mini phone lineup!

Agree with every word you say about this phone. Just switched from my XS Max and it's like night and day. It fits so perfectly in hand (ideal size as you said) and another great feature it's sooo light compared to all those bigger phones. Can't see myself going back to bigger phone ever again. I tried this phone in an Apple Store the other day and fell in love with it! It was so compact and easy to hold and use single-handedly! When was the last I could use a phone like that?! And also, the display quality is absolutely amazing! It has more pixel density than the 11 pro max! And also, it is so lightweight! IT just adds to make it more easier to use! I hope I can get and iPhone 12 mini someday...

The iPhone 12 mini is the phone that I look forward to buying! Because the current phone I use is SE s1. It’s so complete to use with hand size and it’s still working good just a bit slow and lags by the version update. Soon going to buy 12 mini to change it.

It's a great iPhone, I agree with you, I really like the compactness of this model. Why everybody needs the huge phones? For iPhone 12 Pro Max you need to have extra bag, it's not pocket phone anymore 😂.. I wish apple keeps producing this ,,small" iPhones and give it some cool features of the PRO models. Can't wait for iPhone 13, really have big expectations for 2021. Don't disappoint me Apple! Be like Gary he never disappoints with his content 👍🏻👨💻

I went from a 6S Plus to a 12 mini. I wanted a 6S Plus for so long, and I was so happy when I got it, but I quickly got tired of the huge size. I could never fit my phone in my pocket, or if my hands were full I could never text with one hand. I have very small hands so even just holding the phone was a struggle! When Apple announced the iPhone mini I was so excited, it's exactly what I wanted. I got the blue 12 mini in August 2021 and I still love it so much! The only downside now is the battery, but I was lucky enough to get a MagSafe battery for Christmas so if I'm ever too low I can slap it on the back and the problem is solved. I'm usually a very light phone user though so I don't have that problem much :)

I went from an Xs to a 12 Mini, mainly because since swapping to the Xs from my iPhone 8, I've always felt the Xs was a tiny bit too big for my pockets. I think I must have gotten used to the size of the Xs, as the 12 Mini still feels quite small in the hand (that's not really a criticism, more of an observation), but what I love the most is how it feels in my pockets, almost imperceptible! It also fits in my shirt top pockets easily, which is something which always felt a bit cumbersome with the Xs. I'm also very impressed with the screen, it looks fantastic and incredibly detailed. The battery life isn't too terrible from my experience. It seems roughly the same as my Xs, which to be fair wasn't amazing either, but, I'm never far from a charger these days so it's been a non-issue thus far. I gave my Xs to my Mum, so it's now having a much easier life!

I keep dropping my phone on my pocket. Im so glad that i got it back since all of my personal information are in there. I’m getting a mini. Very convenient and light. No need for a bigger screen when you own an ipad.

Picked up the 12 mini on a promo Verizon had last December- my iPhone 7 and $5 / month for 24 months. One of the best purchases I have made. Really dislike big phones and the mini is perfect size.

I love smaller phones. I jump from 4S to 6S. To SE2020. Because of size and Touch ID because I use helmets or glasses for motorcycling, cycling,etc. And I don’t like Face ID. Also I like the size for onehanded use and forget that it’s in my pocket.

Absolutely love my iPhone 12 Mini!!! Been waiting for this phone for years. Battery life is the only thing I’ve noticed that isn’t the best, but certainly tolerable.

Thank you for your video on the iPhone 12 mini. I purchased my 5S when the 8s were out and it is the phone I am using now. I hate buying electronic stuff (I still have a landline in my house), but knew it was probably time to upgrade from my current iPhone 5S. No, it is not, it has antenagate problem same as iphone 4, get to places with bad coverage, you will see. But maybe, they will give you bumper for free :)

Having not looked at the specs I was curious if I could really deal with a smaller size, but as it turns out since I'm still rocking an 8 Plus, the screen is only 0.1" smaller. I think I'll be fine with it.

Switched fromXS Max and not looking back. As someone under 2 hrs/day useable battery is not an issue. Combined with the MagSafe wallet the pocket space saved is absolutely stunning.

Just traded in my 12 Pro Max for a mini today and it was a moment of actual euphoria. My hand doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t take up my whole purse. It doesn’t draw me in like a tiny movie theatre. I’m in love with the mini! It’s perfect. My husband went after I got mine today and traded his 8+ for a mini. Do you know what it took for him to get rid of the button? A lot.

I was an apple home button hold out and refused to go past the I8...and now I went and bought the 12mini. My wife moved from Samsung to apple for the first time. Albeit the only apple products we intend to own as I build my own PCs, we love these phones.

Don’t forget the other issue with Airpods in bed: connectivity. When you just want to close your eyes, but the Airpods just don’t want to connect. 😢 I’ve since gone back to wired in bed and man-o-man it’s so much better. Anyway, I’m still on 11Pro (skipped the 12 line) and considering the mini for the 13 (12S). We’ll see. Great vid, fellow dad! 👍🏼👊🏼

Incredibly thankful for the iPhone 12 mini! Crazy world we live in where people are desensitized to holding and sticking large tablet phone in their pockets. This phone is so comfortable in so many ways.

Have had my white 12 mini since the day it came out I love it. I miss my 11 pro for my telephoto camera but other than the 12 mini has been my favorite iPhone

I have and am watching this from an iPhone 12 Pro and I love the size. I have tiny baby hands like the small vinyl gloves at work are too big. With that said, I absolutely love the feeling in my hand and the keyboard is the perfect size and the smaller phones’ keyboards mess me up like when I’m helping my mom on her iPhone 7

People always criticize the Mini saying it'll have awful battery life...but people who want a smaller phone are used to smaller batteries (and older phones with degrading batteries) and my Mini blows my 8 out of the water. I go to bed with like, 40% left. What the hell do people do that they need such insane battery life?!

Any thermal issue along with the weight always hit my mind upon purchase. The equal CPU for each series is still a huge benefit for users.

I’m shocked that it’s not selling well. Everyone that sees mine and holds it wishes they didn’t get one of the other 12 models. And just by turning off all the useless settings you don’t need. One charge gets me two days with moderate use, easily a full day with heavy use including gaming. Not to mention I wanted blue. And every store I called was out so I had to order it.

***Update*** on my iPhone 12 mini, it isn’t discovering any Bluetooth devices at all. They won’t even come up on the menu. I looked online and have tried all the recommended tricks and my phone is up to date. I see a lot of people complaining about this issue. Wish iPhone would fix this bug it’s very annoying not being able to use Bluetooth. I have to use my old iPhone

Very pleased you, unlike so many others, reject the word “tiny”. Small or compact are ok.
