Also as another poster has already mentioned Lara Fabian has been an idol of democracy since he was a young child. If you really pay attention I'm sure you can hear her influence on his performances in the way that they both completely embody the song and express the emotions of the song through their performances. Maybe what you prefere in Lara is the intonation, all the different colour and atmosphere and the warmer voice than Celine that is very noisy and perhaps more focused by the technique.
