Arsenal were league champions, had the best defensive records in the league that season, did not concede more than 2 goals in every league game, so the way Spurs opened up their defence and scored those 3 goals were impressive.

I remember this game like it was yesterday, still remember the disappointment of not being able to complete the double. Lifelong Arsenal fan, I hate Spurs and that’s that. But they deserved the FA Cup that year. That free kick from Gazza was a thing of beauty

i was in the uk working that day in construction we went to our lunch room to watch this game i was the only Aussie that backed spurs also went to bus parade most spine tingling i have ever witnessed we all followed bus to town hall most amazing time i had working in the uk

Arsenal were a class team that season and played some outstanding football losing only one game in the league.Spurs were more an opportunist long ball outfit with a few flares who played out of their skins that day.
