On this episode of TheFallenState TV, host Jesse Lee Peterson sits down with Jerod Zavistoski, a comedian, dating coach, and a social and political commentator. Jesse and Jerod begin by getting into a debate about atheism and God after Jerod reveals that he grew up devoutly Christian, and then later decided to become an atheist. Jesse asks Jerod where he gets his values from, now that he doesn't believe in God. They then delve into masculinity, feminism, today's dating world, MGTOW, and whether Jerod thinks like a woman or a man. Jerod responds that he does both, because he understands how to empathize the way that a woman would. Finally, they discuss a Buzzfeed article, "37 White People Need to Stop Ruining in 2018," and Jesse asks Jerod to name something major that black people have built in the past 60 years. Finally, they debate about Donald Trump. Don't miss it!

Jesse: You know why you don’t love Donald Trump? Atheist: No, Jesse: Because you don’t love your father. How hard is it to just forgive your father. Half of his genes and blood are in you. So when you hate your father it’s like you’re hating half of yourself and that’s what people don’t understand.

Its interesting when the interviewees squirm a bit when he asks about their familial relationships, and how that could be a contributing factor to their sometimes negative outlook on life. They get slightly defensive, which is often a signal that he struck a nerve. Just an observation. The thing I love about Jesse is that he gets straight to the point, and asks direct questions. After watching his interview style for the past few months, I've noticed most people are uncomfortable with giving a straight answer, without disclaimers or pre-qualifying reasons behind their answers or beliefs. Amazing.

Gabriel Macias : You are projecting yourself on Jesse. You don't understand or see this because you are unregenerate and still identify yourself and others by skin color and race. Jesse has been born from above, by God, through faith in Christ, so he no longer has the weakness and pathetic need of identifying himself by race. Because of this, he is more able to judge and call out all those true racists who proudly and ignorantly identify themselves by race. I.e. the unregenerate racist tribalists who are dividing the nation.

Great points Victoria, I've noticed the same thing, simple questions that one would on it's face think would give simple answers most of the time turn into a huge insight into how someone thinks, their insecurities and their emotions, much better than "complex" questions from most people giving interviews that have very typical, consensus approved answers. Often I see in the comments people insulting Jesse for asking such "stupid" and pointless questions and don't seem to see what Jesse is doing and how much more he is actually revealing about a person's viewpoint.

Being an atheist myself I do see where moral relativism comes from, but you gotta believe in some absolutes. For example, I could never ever be pro-abortion no matter how much "consensus" there is, and it bothers me that most people in the US think of pro-life as a religious position when it's clearly the moral go-to position.

@@rudy6698 Well, I should make clear that my pro-life view differs from the religious conservative view. In North America this debate is toxic as any limits on abortion will demonize you as anti woman rights and any allowance as a baby killer. My position is pro-choice up to 8 weeks (brain waves) as sentience and consciousness is my definition of human life. I understand this puts me at odds with the pro-life movement, but it also makes me toxic to the pro-abortion until birth crowd, but they are a tiny minority in North America that think the world revolves around them, which is why this position is not found anywhere else in the world, not even in Europe where the overwhelming view is a first trimester limit, with some countries lower still (8-10 weeks). Then you have Canada where legally a woman could have twins, but abort the twin still in the womb while the first one is off limits even with just 1 minute after and she'll get 1st degree murder charge thrown her way if she decides to kill that one. Now of course this never happens but that's the law, and it's arbitrary and nonsense.

Well the Bible does say "your adversary the devil walks the earth seeking whom he may devour". So I think maybe they did get the translation right on what Satan means and perhaps thats why he was given that name because he is an adversary. Gosh I can't stand atheists sometimes. And another correction. The Christian argument isn't that our morality come from the Bible but from God himself since we are made in his image. His very nature is the standard for morality. Which is why people know right from wrong. This is freaking hilarious. He's saying he gets his morals and beliefs from the culture at the time. But then he's objecting to what certain cultures did a long time ago saying he would have known better. But that's not true if you get your values from the culture. His argument makes no sense and isn't consistent at all. Good job on calling him out Jesse. But if morality really does come from culture then there is no real right or wrong. It would just be subjective since cultures can always change. So if someone really and truly believes that then they should never object to anything that any culture did in the past. Unless of course they don't really believe that? Lol And it does always seem to be that a lot of atheists always have issue with their dad. And apparently this guy is no exception. I wonder if there's a connection there.

I'm an atheist. My father and I have no issues. He's Russian Orthodox. We embrace each other's beliefs because he isn't an evangelist and it's part of the music his career is beautifully founded on. And he respects my belief because it's founded on a deep understanding of axiology, metaphysics, and philosophy of language, and an honorable mention for logic, especially analytic logic. It's what makes our relationship wholesome. .... Something tells me I'm the normality for the rule, and not the exception, for those who apply their standards for family in a two way street. I get the impression you've never been in an atheist community, and you've instead only debated a few here and there who couldn't handle your dishonesty, and lack of actual critical thinking. Seriously? It's such a non sequitur between fatherhood, morality, and atheism. It's a very speculatory analysis with a lot of words and little substance.

A friend of mine works from home and does much of the child rearing, as his wife is the primary breadwinner, with her job involving a lot of travel. He's a really easy-going individual, whereas his wife is more dominant. It's pretty much a textbook example of male-female role reversal. But it works very well for them and their kids, and they have a happy marriage. So, I guess to me the point is that there are exceptions to pretty much any rule, and I have no problem with that. The problem I have is that we've come to the point that liberal social engineers like the current radical feminists always seem to be trying to hammer round pegs into square holes by forcing people into acting against their own natures. They refuse to believe that fundamental differences between men and women exist, and when most men and women make the logically and predictably different choices that inevitably result in different outcomes, they assume that they are due to discrimination. If they don't see the same number of female mechanical engineers or astrophysicists, their knee jerk reaction is that that's proof of the dominant male hierarchy oppressing women. What they refuse to acknowledge is that most women avoid those occupations not only because they don't want them, but also because most women simply don't have the skill set, the disposition, the physical ability, or the desire to enter certain fields, such as the NFL. When they force radical feminism onto society, the are trying to remake it into something it isn't, and they create chaos, conflict, and social disruption in the process. When men get persecuted enough, they simply quit playing the game at all. Then, women have no man around to support them while they are preoccupied with childrearing. No one wins, especially the feminists, who in turn just become more bitter and resentful of the men who refuse to be exploited.

michael lester Morals do not come from logic alone. Should I try to help you if you are in danger? Yes, if I am able, and especially if I am the only person around. That is the moral thing to do. But what if I am afraid of getting involved? I might get hurt. Logic tells me to protect myself. Self preservation is of utmost importance. I reason that it is better that I survive than you. Morality on the other hand tells me something entirely different. It tells me I should suppress my fear, stir up my compassion, summon my courage, and do something to help you anyway. But why? If you say it is for the benefit of humanity, I may ask why I should care about humanity unless it benefits me personally. What logic is there in caring about a stranger who will provably never be able to return the favor? What logic is there in caring about the future of people in general? If you say humanity should be preserved, I may ask simply, "Why?" You see, logic provides no answer.

Actually he came to FULFILL the law (Matt 5:17)...not enforce. This is a key distinction as the point of the OT law was to prove to mankind that, as fallen man, separated from God, if you wanted to be with God you would have to live a perfect life. Christ lived that perfect life for us and was sacrificed for us so that those who accepted Him would receive the gift that would only otherwise be obtained through living out the entire OT law without failing: eternal life with God. God saw that we could not ever be with him by any effort of our own (due to the condition of Sin) and so he gave us a way to be with Him. So why give the OT law at all? Why not just save us immediately? Because in order for the gift of eternal life to meaningful, in order for the love story between us and God to be meaningful, we must realize how far we fall short on our own. It is only at that point, when we realize how we will never stack up to the perfection of God, that we are in a place to accept his FREE gift to us of eternal life through the life and death and resurrection of Jesus.

The scripture does not speak of a religion at all it does on the other hand say in Ephesians 4:5 One father, one faith, one baptism.

So MGTOW denied them access to his time. Told them to leave him alone. Lol! It's in the title, what'd you expect. I love it. Any man being interviewed specifically as a representative for MGTOW is not one.
