On this week's episode of TheFallenState TV, host Jesse Lee Peterson is joined by the Joker of New Orleans, a street magician. Tune in for a wild dialogue that covers why 'The Joker' became a magician; why he supports BLM, affirmative action, and reparations; his reason for being pro-abortion up until the ninth month; and what caused him to change from a Christian in a heterosexual relationship, to a pansexual Satanist. You don't want to miss it!

He reminds me very much of progressive friends I've made over the years. And of myself. I had my issues with anger when I was younger but had to realize that socratic dialogue is much more effective for creating change. All that anger comes from seeing people hurt and being frustrated by the perception that others don't care. It takes a lot of maturity to hold back those emotions and try to understand other perspectives.

This guy says they "falsely" accused the Black guy in Tulsa. The guy went by the name "Diamond Dick". He rode this same elevator with this same female elevator operator every day on his lunch break. They never had a problem. Then all of a sudden one day, she runs out of the elevator screaming and crying with scratches and torn clothing. Why would she just suddenly decide to falsely accuse this guy? He was a broke Black shoeshiner in 1921. It's not like there was any financial incentive for her to lie on him. Then a bunch of Black people showed up at the courthouse with guns, and a Black man by the name of O.B. Mann shot an elderly white man. That's what started the riot. In the end, there were 26 dead Black people and 13 dead white people. No one ever talks about the 13 dead white people. In fact, one of the reasons that the Black community in Tulsa was so worried that Diamond Dick would be lynched is that a white man named Roy Belton had been lynched in Tulsa less than a year earlier. After the riots, the Red Cross rebuilt Greenwood at no cost to the residents. Many of the homes previously had no plumbing or electricity, but were rebuilt with plumbing and electricity. I live in Tulsa. They are currently tearing up parts of the beautiful Greenwood District in a desperate attempt to find mass graves. They can't accept the fact that only 26 Black people were killed. They wish it was a higher number, so they just keep digging and digging, taking the community on an emotional roller coaster the whole time. It's sad to see.

Me too! This is the first time that a Fallen State interview has caused me to really self reflect. I was judging this guy like crazy based on some of the responses he was giving at the start of the interview - but when he started opening up about his past, I really felt for him, and I began to understand why he is the way he is. We all go through spiritual trauma, and most of the time it happens to us as children when we're young, naïve and still making sense of the world; and we all experience different severities of trauma which is why it manifests differently in each individual. Black or white, male or female, liberal or conservative...the one MAJOR thing that we all have in common is our messed up internal environments that were caused by our messed up external environments. God bless this man for helping me see that we're all just doing our best to deal with the cards that we were dealt, and God bless JLP and crew for continuing to do God's work.

I don't see joker as a bad person. Mr Peterson, I've followed you for a few years now, and you are doing something really special. No one interviews a person, while listening as you do. Your "listening" is deeper than the surface. I can see that you love this man as a person of God should.

You know what is beautiful? Watching this whole interview dealing with humans on an individual basis is always the answer. No one knows anyone. And everyone has their own traumas. I wish these interviews would start in a more personal way then moved out more broadly. I understand why. But it would strip people of their ego quicker. And get to a real discussion. Instead of a bunch of semantics. Before hearing someone's real voice. God Bless folks.

But its important to know the sematics because people use words differently. Then we all know what we are talking about.
@briancirelli8051
@briancirelli8051 2 жыл бұрын
@@sunnywaffles this young man is an example of the semantics I'm talking about. He is an adult with a"child like mind". Because he was never parented. And when the real conversation took place toward the end it was like an adult talking to a lost child . First response by the kid. When asked what is important to you? Being famous. That is a truly sad response for an adult. Sounds like his maturity level is that of a child. And our society is littered with this problem for several generations now. Adults with child like mind sets. Then though same people spout all their worldly views and how they are enlightened to help an kind. When in all actuality according to the young man he is heavily traumatized has mental illness and has not learned to help himself. So until people start taking accountability for their lives it hard to push for the deep conversations that effect everyone in this nation to be had. Because to me the semantics that go on in society today are all very shallow and not helping but further deciding all of us. Jmo.

6:45 Jesse is onto something to there. The feeling you get from fame is very fleeting. If you are the type of person that desires the need for fame. You’ll find once you gain fame, you need that feeling of affirmation everyday to reassure yourself that you are still famous. That’s why you see so many of them do outrageous things when they start becoming irrelevant to the public eye. Chasing the dragon dawg…… “Whatta mess!”
