No! I'd be A-OK if it was just me and the other "wildies". My friend just moved from Austin to Montana. He now has a zipline on his property, moose graze in his yard & his home looks like the finest ski resort I've ever seen. If they add a chair lift, we can ski on his mountain property. Other than that, it's just him, his lady & the pitties they rescue. Frankly, I'd rather hang out with pit bulls than humans, any day.

He died last year in 2023 so Im sure he's well aware. He had more issues going on besides just a hatred of technology and where society was headed. He was schizophrenic and bipolar. He threw away mathematical talent and even ruined a life of seclusion to make a name for himself as an anarchist. Rumored to be a crossdresser and talked openly about gender transitioning. He's not a radical worth remembering. He's rotting in hell.

I can’t believe why that even after the second and third bomb, there was no official warnings given out to people, telling them to be wary of packages, especially if they were unexpected packages or packages left unattended in public places. Why didn’t that Secretary report the incident of the person leaving the package,immediately instead of ignoring it, it would have saved the person who had picked it up from being killed.

It was actually Ted’s sister in law, Linda was the first one to suspected Ted was the Unabomber. Even though she has never met him Linda was a professor of philosophy. She studied the manifesto and compared it to the letters he had written his brother, David. She then went to her husband and they went to the library to read more from the paper. If it wasn’t for Linda bringing this to her husbands attention he definitely wouldn’t have been caught when he was.

I kinda wish they would change the definition of serial killers, as far as saying they're all anti-social people. Makes those of us who are anti-social but ARE NOT going around killing people look that much worse to the people who don't know us. I'm anti-social more because I'm sick of societies double standards. According to social standards, I'm fat and ugly simply because I'm 172 lbs, I don't really lie wearing makeup, and I'm far more likely to be wearing jeans and a hoodie or t-shirt than a dress other than a few rare days like Samhain or my birthday. But yet my doctor says I'm healthy and my weight is normal for my age and height. Would I love to be 117 again like when i graduated HS yes BUT for my age/height that is pushing it to an almost dangerous level so I'm not going to try. It's double standards like that and gender standards as I call them that are why our society is as bad as it is not technology

Fascinating how many commenters here are saying "Yay Ted! You got it right, man!" while they watch this episode on their computers or smart phones, surrounded by technology in their homes, eating foods brought to them by technology, wearing clothes brought to them by technology. Tech itself isn't good or evil, and the same is true for any form of progress. As for me, I'd rather have tech than go back to living in the woods without electricity and running water while growing my own food.

As far as him dropping out of society I can't say I blame Ted. Society honestly SUCKS and to be fully honest I'd leave society too if not for my being dependent on certain things like internet, running water and electricity. I'd love a place out in the country like that where my nearest neighbors might be 2 or 3 miles away. I'd put up a decent fence to make sure that predatory animals like bobcats, coyotes and foxes wouldn't be able to get in without having to resort to desperate measures ( so that in other words getting into my yard would be 1000x more trouble than it's worth) so my cats can go outside without me having to worry about their safety. In NO WAY am I condoning his becoming a serial bomber, but I can def. understand his disgust with society

I can’t imagine living in an 8x10 shack. I built a 12/12 shed. It looks like a mini house because I build houses. My brother in law stayed in it during the summer and it was a very cramped place. It at least has electricity. Why did that guys invalid wife die because he couldn’t care for her? Did he not mention her needs to anyone? Certainly given his situation he should have had some help.

For a guy as smart as him... how does eliminating a few people solve Any of his agenda..? He is correct in that modern technology is eliminating jobs while the population continues to grow(leading to increased poverty). But that has been going on since the industrial revolution... and subjectively since cultivation (farming food rather than moving around to gather it). Even if he was able to eliminate all of his targets and never be caught... It would not stop Anything technology related. Artificial intelligence today IS Deadly. The Boing 737 MCAS killed hundreds of people in 2 crashes. But ultimately it was a human decision to deploy the Boeing MCAS. So he was certainly right about the overuse of Tech. But knocking off teachers of any sort would not have stopped that.

I imagine that if we would stop killing each other, shared the wealth and focused on making the world a better place for everyone that people would stop having so many kids and with more spare time we would be able to allow our creative and genius traits to evolve . Let technology do the mundane work, there so much of this beautiful planet we could explore.

Maybe he just wanted the media to publish his manifesto while simultaneously punishing those he felt contributed to the downfall of society? He literally told them, publish my shit or I'll send more bombs so I'm sure it was just a means to an end.
@RAZR_Channel
@RAZR_Channel Жыл бұрын
@@motojunkie8348 That's true... but he could have done that after a few. But he also judged society as incapable of understanding him. So, ya... after doing it for years he gave it a try. And it was his undoing... he should have known that. And maybe he did. Maybe his end game was to get caught. In his age he would no longer be able bodied to farm his food or maintain his small shack. Quite ironically in the end : the government now provides that exact environment for him. An 8 by 10 cell complete with typewriter and 3 meals a day(horrible I'm, sure). I would not be surprised if the government consults with him in exchange for better conditions of his confinement. It does not matter if he can be trusted in some cases... all they need in some cases is the solutions to problems.

The combination of physical, psychological and sexual abuses (making Shane strip naked and dance with his cousin, also naked), the multiple victims (her own family members, a supposed friend and two men in deep need of real care) combined make this the worst case I'm aware of. Thank God Shelly Knotek's daughters survived to tell the tale and bring her to some sort of justice. I pray they get life-long support to be as healthy as they can be(physically, emotionally, spiritually)
