Hiya, I’m watching from Purerua, just past The Landing! Snapper are such beautiful fish, fins lit up in blue. And Kingfish are the torpedoes of the sea.

For my jigging setup I’m running 80lb braid to 130lb mono leader

Matty, grab your self a troll cam or something similar, and downrig your kahawai, its something you haven't done, its great underwater footage also, you can vary your depths from 60-10m so on, maybe run two baits at different depths to see how they approach your bait, and who wouldn't want to see a 30kg king eat off your downrigged bait!!
