One of my favourite final bosses. Having all your allies gather against a combination of every archangel you’ve fought was such an adrenaline rush

After a few replays because I love this game, I’m here with a fun fact: the name of this song, arrow of time, is actually a reference to a dialogue with Kayleigh you can get at the beginning of the game in the Gramophone Cafe. She’ll say “the arrow of time moves only forward, kayleigh”, remembering something her dad used to tell her, and although for a moment she appears sad that she’ll never get to go back to her previous life, she is quick to tell the player something like “I guess it means that we only have so much time, and we should make the most of it! So then, where next?” I kinda love how the phrase is repurposed here :) (Edit: Rewording)

It's unfortunate that I see people here that peeled off all of the sidelined partner's stickers, or gave them random beasts. Because it was epic as heck seeing Echolocation + Wall at the start of the fight, and everyone got their own individual shields, with individual strats for each partner. Even if it was a fairly easy final boss. This game was one heck of a magical ride, for sure.

Through my whole playthrough I made a policy of never swapping the signature monsters off of my teammates. Seeing all six of them together - Decibelle, Robindam, Spitzfyre, Cat-5, Fungogh, and Regensea, plus my own Miasmodeus? Justified my decision on the spot.

sorry for the bad english. I can't remember a game that gave me such a strong sense of win and lose, building a relationship with NPCs and making it your power to get away from the only place that holds them together is amazing and fabulous. Thank you Cassette Beasts.

really love how many motifs to the other boss songs in this song! 1:27 uses a similar cadence to the very beginning of same old story, 2:00 has the backing for shot in the dark, and 3:28 uses the guitars in face down. it's super delightful and it took me a couple of relistens to catch them all, what a good song to tie off the story :)

When Morgante says "It's Coda Morgana Time" and proceeds to Coda Morgana the hell out of Aleph it's my favorite part.

One thing I have noticed from listening to this theme alongside the others in a playlist I noticed this theme has the instrumentals from many of the battle themes of this game. And honestly, that makes it so perfect for a final boss theme. It's literally the culmination of all the battles you fought (literally and figuratively) into one grand finale that feels so satisfying.

Even if this fight is kinda scripted, it was still so well done from a narrative and thematic point, and seeing that smug bastard get his shit pushed in was so, so worth it. I love this game so much.

I love this song. It's not even my favorite in the game but it's probably the one I have the most to say about This song is what it sounds like- a defiance of the inevitable. It somehow manages to sell hopelessness yet hopefulness completely seamlessly, sounding composed yet also pretty desperate. It's fantastic

This game truly was one of, if not the best game I have ever played, and this theme to cap it off made it even more perfect!

I would love to have an actual Aleph Null fight in the endgame. One that forces you to give you companions well built monsters, or monsters with only a few moves if you want to funnel their AIs into a specific strategy.

So funny story about this boss: I peeled off the stickers of my party memebers except for Spit and Smack so I could use them on other monsters. I didn't know you had a huge team up fight here, and I got really confused when they were only using basic attacks. Then I realized... this was my fault wasn't it?

This really is a fantastic final boss theme. I wish that the boss itself wasn't an unloseable scripted event though.

This theme was frekkin epic, especially paired with me and my companion fighting alongside everyone else I've befriended over the course of the game. Altogether made for a very memorable finale to the main story. Seriously, this song got me so pumped to cave in the final boss's face.

THIS SHARES MOTIFS WITH SHOWDOWN FROM LENNA'S INCEPTION. I so wish I'd played Lenna's Inception before hitting the final boss, because it would've hit so much harder to go "THIS IS SHOWDOWN?" during the final boss of this game and not "THIS IS ARROW OF TIME?" during the very first boss of that one. Like, they're not *the same* but. It's there. Right? I'm not crazy, right? Like, Your Inception is also just _directly_ Showdown, but it shares motifs and that was so wild to go "WAIT? ARROW OF TIME?" during the Azraflail fight

Ugh, I only ever fused during archangel fights so it turns out I missed so many lyrics LOL. This song is fantastic.

For the final boss I kept everyone’s original beast and maxed their friendship. I actually didn’t know about the final battle having all of the companions in battle at the same time but luckily I used all the istant level ups on every beast

it took me so long to actually get to this fight, and beat Aleph, but then I saw I forgot to remaster barkley's tape. I quit and immediately started grinding to remaster him. When I did, this was such an awesome fight.

Watched a review for the game and considering buying it now, but this came into my youtube feed and damn, it's a banger. Sounds like an end boss theme to me. Everyone coming together, fighting for a purpose, persevering. Couldn't really be for anything else imo.

I think I may have found my new favourite song. Certainly my favourite final boss theme. The lyrics are surprisingly fatalistic for such an upbeat and triumphant song, but it makes total sense: we're never getting rid of the Archangels forever, so long as the concepts they embody remain in humans' minds, they're going to keep coming back over and over, and as his bio says, Aleph will eventually win one day when he returns. But it's still so hopeful, actively defying and rebelling against the inevitable even as it's admitting it can't be changed, which perfectly fits given who you invoke later in the fight. It's such a wild, wonderful ride pushing you on to finally rip that equilateral jackass a new one after being taunted by him the entire game while soaring through the space between worlds on a cosmic railway. An utterly phenomenal end to an utterly phenomenal game.

Having all the partners maxed out with killer sets makes this fight so sick

I turned the vocals off pretty early on cause I was finding it hard to read while they were playing during cutscenes in the Cafe in the early game, so this ended up being a super pleasant surprise for me!

been fumbling my way through a breakup and this popped back into my head a little while ago. lots to still be positive about in my life. im gonna be a better person, and idk, its probably cheesy but this song gives me some hope thingsll turn out alright. ive got friends to keep me going, and a lot to be thankful for. from here it only gets better, and all that.

Anyone else played the Switch version recently and had the music stutter during the attacks? I thought it was intentional but apparently not. I thought it was going for "the bond of the team is so powerful that it is even breaking into reality" vibe.

Apparently I used Eugene so little that he straight up didn’t show up for the final fight, which I found REAAAALLLYYYY funny since there was just an obvious gap where an extra person should have been. Anyway, this is one of the coolest Final Bosses I’ve seen in a game, even if it’s more of a spectacle than a proper fight (at least after the first half). I had already fallen in love with Cassette Beasts, and the whole final sequence propelled it from my Top 10 favorite games all the way to Top 2, along with Omori. And I honestly couldn’t say one is better than the other. Cassette Beasts definitely has better gameplay though (it’s not that Omori’s is bad, rather it’s that Cassette Beasts’ gameplay is absolutely STELLAR)

When i did this fight, i put on my partners my main 6 members, so while not seeing them with their signature partners, seeing the team I fought tooth and nail with this entire time all in one squad was super epic

If I had a nickle for every time an evil triangle man tried to end the universe, I would have 2 nickles, which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

Boss died really fast but fun non the less, was temtping to add resonance to (fusion power of the ramtasiel and apocrowlypse) it for shts and giggles but didn't get the chance to put one in before it cut me off in the middle section.

Most of my partners for this fight were unfortunately trash tapes (diveal lmao, unleveled spirouette) BUT Kayleigh had something I'd completely forgotten about Triphinx with two different critical mass moves On myself, I run Wyrmaw (with trap jaw, of course) So evasion nullified guaranteeing crits? Kayleigh's set made Aleph put his plot armor to use.

Tried this game but maybe it had some optimization issues because it made my laptop heat up like crazy. Maybe it’ll run better now on my new computer idk.

This game was a much needed breath of fresh air from Pokémon scarlet/violet. It had a better story, Characters, and design of monsters. the final boss too puts S/V final boss to shame spoilers for both games oh in pokemon you defeated an ai thats with your pet dog thats cute I just defeated the incarnation of war on a train traveling (I think) In-between worlds with cassettes. all Im saying main protagonist from cassette beasts could floor S/V pokemon trainer 10 times over.
