It’s so sad that a manager wants to deny a player to represent his country because it’s inconvenient for the team. You have to deal with this not alienate him. I’m a Liverpool fan and we had a season where both Mane & Salah went off to AFCON. Whilst we were worried about our season because we missed two massive players, we didn’t want to deny them the opportunity to play for their countries. We wished them the best of luck and hoped they came back healthy and injury free.

As a Neapolitan, and a supporter of Napoli, De Laurentiis has brought us joy since he has bought us when we were in a shithole in Serie C, but I will never forgive him for the mistakes he's making and going to make with this team. We haven't had a star team like this since the 2010s, and even with that team we couldn't hold a superiority like we did last season. I love Osimhen, Kvara, and all the other members of Napoli, and whilst I wish for them to stay in Napoli, I know that Aurelio will fuck it up somehow and make them leave, nonetheless I will support them in whatever club they go in (Except Juve)

The posts aren't mocking his hair lightheartedly, they are clearly racist. The use of "coconut" is always used as a derogatory term for brown people and is here used as a "know your place" smacks very much of a chairman who tried to flog osimhen in the summer, and stupidly priced him out the market. He's now trying to get Napoli fans to turn on him to force him out.

In the UK, it means black on the outside, white on the inside. It's said between black people who question each others blackness. It's an old phrase and a black community thing. I think someone is trying to be clever and flip things. I remember Rio ferdinand calling Ashley Cole a coconut and being fined for it, and both of them are mixed. Beware of cultural provocateurs.

@@andrewthomas364 Coconut is very much a derogatory term for race traitor. Brown people use the term for other brown people for "trying" to be white. White people use the term to put down brown people for trying to be white or "aspiration of being white aka having money. Add in the racial mix to link monkeys and coconuts. It's a racial slur and a class slur. In this case, it's very much a "let's laugh at the rich African from the jungle by making fun of coconuts". Italians (and Spaniards)can be very backwards in their racist stuff, and then feign innocence. It's one stage from calling osimhen a monkey/ gorilla and superimposing his face on. Whoever in the club put this out there, knew what they were doing. Upset him and claim "he can't take a joke".

I could honestly see him going to a number of different clubs, Arsenal would love a player like him, he seems to fit that club very well as we all know, Arsenal have a very fond affiliation with black superstar strikers! He got his recognition for contributing to the title win. Did Kvara deserve "the first place"? Yes. Osihmen was in the team for 2 previous years as well but didn't shine that much. Kvara brought new life to the team, he just takes the space and frees up for others. Many goals Osihmen scored by Kvara's assist or his good play. Btw, Osihmen is paid way more than Kvara right now so don't say he's not recognized.

In the previous seasons, his team mates hardly passed to him, they all wanted to score and would rather shoot than pass, the likes of Martens were guilty of this. Even though Victor would occupy defenders creating space for them they never did the same for him. His success this time was bcos he got more service from his teammates, especially from Krava...

He has been Napoli Top scorer not just last season and its because of injury he has not done better than last season. His stats have been impressive since he joined Napoli. You seem new to football or Napoli

In 2020-2021 season he was the third by goals, in 2021-22 he was the first but only managed to score 14 goals while in the season when Kvara joined the team he scored 26 so something changed right? In the words "he didn't shine that much" I don't mean he didn't do anything at all but clearly, it's not like somehow, he's the only reason of Napoli's success. He had good partners previous years too like Insigne or Mertens but they didn't win a title, did they? His stats are impressive or not, it doesn't make it fair that they try to disregard Kvara's role in the team and some even hit so deep bottom that they speak about racism...
