I've been using a variety of Vanquest items for about 4 years now and They are my top brand compared to Maxpedition and other edc bag makers. They have great customer service and engineering of their products. I do have a bias so take that with a grain of salt.
Filmed on a Panasonic GH2 @ 7.1 Aperture, 2700k temp, 24ps, 640 iso with audio from n H2n and h6 recorder and Sound devices 302 mixer along with a Rode Filmmaker lav kit and AKG P420 microphone @ 24bit 48khz. Outdoor shot specifications mentioned in video for reference.Secondary camera on Auto with slow motion capture is a samsung note

Great video. You might want to think about adding a small flashlight like an Olight i3 EOS (90 lumens) or Thrunite Ti2 edc (120 lumens) to your kit. I attach the Thrunite to the zipper with a MagConnector with a magnetic quick release key chain connection. That way if I am in the dark and I want to find something in my kit I can just disconnect the flashlight and hold in my mouth while I find whatever I need in my pack. Works good for me.

i do have a aaa light in the kit and also a small headlamp and a rechargeable pill light as well

Cool review. One day, I’ll find the perfect pouch. Maxpedition is my go to but they could make improvements. I might get a Maxpedition med kit pouch, mine is a cheap from Kmart. Vanquest/Maxpedition/511 all do great pouches/packs.

ive yet to try out anything from 5.11 how is there edc pouch gear?

Haha, I’m the same, I haven’t got any, I just included them as they seem to be popular in the EDC world. Their backpacks seem to be the most popular, the Rush 12 or Rush 24 ect.

That’s a nice looking pouch. I like that paracord bundle you did. I never thought about something like that. That’s a nice setup you have. I might try something like that.

Vanquest is better functionally for my needs than maxpedition. The amount of detail and attention to the inside offers more for me. i use both brands heavily but if i had to choose, it would be vanquest.

they have a variety of models, each one setup slightly different than the other to match your needs. my personal favorite is the ftim 6x9 gen ii maximizer because i can access almost anything in that bag and i can do it if the bag is attached on my body relatively easily compared to the ppm or the edcm bags. ppm and edcm bags are great too. i have a huge i got from vanquest and will be filming that later this week as its going to be my electronics kit.
