Great Video Richard & Ian and thanks to Abbey for allowing all the filming. Really interesting especially for anyone like me having a background in engineering. Just thinking outloud about your own "World Class" welding🤣. This is just a thought, so please don't shoot me or throw me in the slurry pond... On one or two videos you've talked about Jack and Harry, eventually going to Hartpury. As part of the education there, do they do any practical hands-on equipment maintenance? A short basic mechanical module which, might include basic welding could be a very useful skill to learn. I'm not thinking about it saving you money but, when the occasional clanger gets dropped or something breaks at the worst possible time, being able to do a half-decent repair could be well worthwhile. Being able to do a reasonable weld that is stonger than, and also doesn't look like bird poo is not difficult to learn, especially while students there are still very much in the learning frame of mind. I think you will probably agree that as we get older, it's not as easy to absorb new or different skills. It's just a thought🤔.
